Heads up motorists and residents of the greater Kuala Lumpur area, take note that the KL Car-Free Morning programme will slated for Sunday, June 16 has been cancelled. Said date’s running was axed in light of the upcoming Hari Raya Haji (Aidiladha) public holiday that falls on Monday, June 17.
This was confirmed by organisers of the weekly initiative through an announcement posted via its official Facebook page. Organisers also noted that an announcement of the programme’s return to normal running will be made in due time.
For those unfamiliar, this weekly programme sees 5 to 7 KM stretches of KL City centre roads closed off from cars to allow avid cyclists, runners, and skaters full roaming freedom. Said public holiday on Monday also means it will be a long weekend for everyone, so plan your journeys and trips accordingly.
