Previewed: 2025 Hyundai Staria Range – 4 Variants, launches July 2
Previewed today by Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) is the face-liffted 2025 Hyundai Staria MPV line-up.

Completing today’s special press preview of new models by the newly established Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) is perhaps the largest passenger vehicle that the Korean H-marque has to offer – the Staria MPV.
Considered one of the brand’s best-sellers amidst a wave of lackluster model sales prior, the massive and strikingly designed MPV is getting rebooted locally by HMY with the face-lifted version that was introduced globally last year.
Just like the two SUV models previewed alongside, the rebooted Staria variant range starts with a base Style 10-seater, mid-specced Prime 10-seater, and range-topping Prestige in both 10-seater and higher-end 7-seater choices – there are four variants available altogether. The biggest change here is of course the 7-seater range-topper’s re-introduction.
Under the hood, the tried-and-tested 2.2-litre turbo-diesel mill continues unchanged, offering 177 HP and 431 NM to drive the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic box.
New to this 2025 model year version are brass-finished exterior accents.

All continue to harness the tried-and-tested 2.2-litre 4-cyl turbo-diesel mill rated at 177 HP and 431 NM to drive its front wheels via an 8-speed automatic box.
Visually, there are new brass-finished badges, headlight surrounds, grille, side mirror caps and rear bumper trims. Besides that, the Staria continues to rock full LED lighting with pixel-themed LED DRLs and taillight graphics, and eye-catching two-tone 18-inch wheels.
On board, the biggest aesthetic change here is the deletion of Alcantara trims in the doors and centre console, whilst all seats are now wrapped in Nappa leather.

Besides 10-seater variants, the rebooted Staria range also sees HMY re-introduce a posh 7-seater Prestige range-topper.

Over on to tech, the Staria continues to feature a sizeable 10.25-inch digital instrument panel plus an 8-inch central infotainment interface brimmed with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 12-speaker Bose audio system, Qi wireless charging pad, plus a 360-degree camera.
Headlining features include keyless entry and ignition, dual powered sliding doors, powered tailgate, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, powered (manual slide) and ventilated second-row captain’s chairs with one-touch recline and built-in ottomans, dual sunroofs, as well as dual-zone climate control.
As for safety and driver assist, six airbags are standard across the board. Only the range-topping Prestige 7-seater variant benefits with an advanced driver assistance (ADAS) package granting semi-autonomous driving abilities.
Powered dual-sliding doors plus powered tailgate opening are amongst some of this behemoth's key features primed.

Predictably, price was something HMY elected not to disclose during today’s preview. However, considering the Staria is being localised (CKD) at the Inokom plant in Kulim, Kedah, expect the 10-seater variants to be priced within the same figures as before – RM183,888 (Lite), RM200,888 (Plus) and RM215,888 (Max).
As for the new Prestige 7-seater range-topper, this guise is expected to be priced well below the RM368,888 figure commanded by its pre-facelift Premium-guised predecessor.
