Allianz Malaysia Launches Training Programmes To Enhance P-Hailing Riders Safety
Allianz Malaysia officially launched two special training programmes designed to boost the safety of P-hailing riders.

Earlier today, insurance providers Allianz Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Allianz Malaysia) launched two special training programmes aimed specifically at enhancing the safety of P-hailing motorcycle riders.
These programmes were borne out of a partnership forged by Allianz Malaysia with the Road Safety Marshall Club. Other stakeholders involved here include the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) as well as leading local P-hailing firms Grab Malaysia, foodpanda Malaysia, and Lalamove Malaysia.
The first of which centres on rider safety training and road emergency survival with P-hailing firms mentioned, complementing their existing efforts at equipping riders with essential road safety knowledge and skills. The second programme will instead be tailored specifically for motorcycle-borne public and private university students.
The special programmes' launch was part of the broader Allianz Media Forum 2025 held earlier today.

“Our efforts extend beyond profit, and in this particular instance, we strive to give back to society by implementing and supporting rider safety initiatives that will enhance safety and security for all road users,” expressed Allianz Malaysia CEO Sean Wang after launching and detailing said programmes earlier today
The special programmes’ launch was also part of the Allianz Media Forum 2025 held in Kuala Lumpur earlier today. Featured here was a special panel discussion plus a Q-and-A session between local press members and representatives from leading local P-hailing platforms mentioned prior.

Present too was Ir. Ts. Azhar Hamzah, Director of the Human Factors and Road User Behaviour Centre (HUB) at MIROS, who shed light on motorcycle accidents and deaths statistics in Malaysia.

Besides that, present for the forum too was Ir. Ts. Azhar Hamzah, Director of the Human Factors and Road User Behaviour Centre (HUB) at MIROS. In his keynote speech, Azhar stressed MIROS' belief that road safety is a “shared responsibility” for all motorists.
“Through our research, we aim to uncover the risks and challenges faced by road users and identify potential solutions to enhance rider safety and support their families’ livelihoods. Together, we can transform insights into impactful actions,” emphasised Azhar further.
The Allianz Media Forum 2025 also hosted a panel discussion plus Q-and-A session between local press and representatives from P-hailing platforms Grab Malaysia, foodpanda Malaysia, and Lalamove Malaysia.

Collectively, Allianz Malaysia remains steadfast in its mission towards enhancing road safety through proactive measures and strategic partnerships.
The firm also stresses that both the Allianz Malaysia Media Forum 2025 and upcoming training programmes mentioned are crucial steps toward creating a safer environment for both the local P-hailing community as well as the broader community.
