Next-Gen Perodua Bezza Rendered Again, Could Launch Soon Too
The Perodua Bezza as we know it could finally see a successor sooner than initially thought.

Seasoned Carz.com.my followers will remember that second national automaker Perodua had previously promised that the new successor to the Bezza sedan will arrive sometime in 2027 or 2028.
Whilst all attention is focused on the Rawang-based automaker’s groundbreaking first electric vehicle (EV) model, it also seems that Perodua have elected to fast-track development for its Bezza successor too, and it should also debut this year.
No doubt, we have reached a stage where the Bezza sedan offering is somewhat overdue for a replacement – P2’s first ever sedan nameplate first launched in 2016 before undergoing a facelift in 2020. We'll also add that the imminent arrival of an all-new Proton Saga rival has accelerated the Bezza successor's development in Rawang.

Winning design entries from the Asian Compact Sedan Design Challenge 2023 (ACSDC 2023) hosted by Perodua. It seems elements from which will be incorporated into the new Bezza, said Peordua prior.

Besides the promise of incorporating winning designs from the Asian Compact Sedan Design Challenge 2023 (ACSDC 2023), the automaker did not reveal many details surrounding this upcoming successor to its best-selling compact sedan.
Thankfully, digital render artist Theophilus Chin Swee Hoe (@theottle) is here to help you visualise things better. This week, Chin released an updated new vision of what the next-generation Perodua Bezza ought to look like.
Unlike his last render, which use the then new and DNGA-based Axia supermini as a base, this latest redux is a hypothetical vision that sees the current model’s platform paired with a heavy facelift instead – a la the third-gen Toyota Vios.
Slimmer headlights, new grille with hexagonal design motif plus a more pronounced horizontal shoulder line, are also amongst the new details Chin added. Much of these were grafted on by using elements from the Fiat Cronos.
We’ll leave it to you to gauge Chin’s new design further for yourself, and you can share your take on which in the comments below. Overall, this is yet another arguably convincing prediction of how P2’s upcoming compact sedan could look like.

@Theottle's latest vision of the upcoming new-generation Bezza takes on a different approach than before. Note also the new new elements added.

Aesthetics aside, we’re certain Perodua will continue priming the Bezza with its tried-and-tested 1.0-litre 3-cyl and 1.3-litre 4-cyl petrol mills used in the current model – the former three-banger being a unit shared with the previous- and current-gen Axia too.
Perhaps Perodua could also ditch the current Bezza’s 4-speed AT box and pair both mills with its D-CVT box instead – barring the still-in-production Aruz, P2 has effectively brimmed the latter CVT-type box in almost all its current offerings.

First introduced in 2015, the Bezza had undergone a major face-lift in 2020, and remained unchanged since.

Besides that, speculations are rife of a possible new hybrid powertrain option too. However, this seems less likely given that P2 had originally planned to introduce its first hybrid powertrain through its now shelved redux of the DNGA-based Toyota Yaris Cross.
Well, what do you folks reckon? Would you fancy a new generation and highly improved iteration of the Bezza? What new features would you expect it to have? And what would be fair pricing for which? Hit the comments below…
