Hyundai Partners With Selangor FC Through 2025-2026 MSL Season
Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) officially entered an agreement with Selangor FC earlier this week.

After officially announcing its arrival back in June, and launching a trio of new metal last month, Hyundai Motor Malaysia (MHY) isn’t sitting idle. In fact, this week, the automaker’s Malaysian arm announced a new local sporting partnership agreement.
The renowned slanted-H marque from Korea saw its Malaysian arm ink a new partnership with the Selangor FC football team. The deal sees HMY serve as ‘Official Mobility Partner’ to the football team throughout the 2025-2026 Malaysia Super League (MSL) season.
The announcement of this agreement is a timely one as the latest MSL season officially kicked off yesterday (Aug 8). In fact, the season-opening match featured partners Selangor FC taking on rivals Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the latter’s home turf.
Incidentally, JDT also recently welcomed HMY’s rivals UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) as a partner. In fact, the rivalling Japanese automaker also inked a similar agreement with to become the southern state's powerhouse football outfit’s “official mobility partner” late last month.
The agreement sees the Korean slanted-H marque become Selangor FC's 'Official Mobility Partner' throughout the 2025-2026 MSL season.

Back to HMY and its deal with Selangor FC, the firm notes that the partnership solidifies its presence in the local sporting arena, aligning the brand with one of Malaysia’s most prominent professional footballing clubs too.
“Hyundai Motor Malaysia is proud to support Selangor FC in their upcoming season, both on and off the pitch,” expressed the firm via a brief official press release issued this week.
Besides the Hyundai marque’s branding emblazoned on the team's kits, as well as branding across the team’s home turfs, HMY's status as official mobility partner could also entail with possible vehicular endorsement with selected players and team personalities, though this isn't stated outright by the firm yet.
Nevertheless, expect such efforts to be announced in the coming months.
