JSPT Set To Pilot e-Police Reporting on PLUS Highway from Sept 1

PDRM’s Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) will begin testing its new electronic police reporting system (e-Police Reporting) for road accidents starting from Sept 1, 2025.
The initiative, developed in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), has been in planning and development for nearly three years. It is set to begin on Sept 1, 2025 along the North-South Expressway (PLUS).
Under the pilot phase, motorists driving private vehicles who are involved in accidents that do not result in injuries, damage to other vehicles or harm to public property will be able to lodge a police report online through PDRM’s e-Reporting platform. This will serve as an alternative to making reports at nearby police stations.
According to JSPT Director Commissioner of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, the project represents a major step forward in digitalisation, combining law enforcement expertise with financial oversight to strengthen claims and insurance processes. He said the initiative is expected to improve the efficiency, transparency and accessibility of police services for the public.

The pilot is being carried out with the support of several agencies and stakeholders, including the Ministry of Transport (MOT), the Road Transport Department (JPJ), and the National Financial Crime Centre (NFCC).
It is also backed by the general insurance and takaful industry through the General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM) and the Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA), as well as PLUS Malaysia Berhad, the concessionaire of the North-South Expressway.
“The whole-of-nation approach in developing this initiative will make it easier for the public to report minor accidents, while advancing the government’s digital transformation agenda in delivering faster and more efficient services,” said Mohd Yusri.
He added that the partnership between JSPT and BNM demonstrates the synergy between national security agencies and financial institutions in strengthening public confidence in national institutions.
He expressed hope that the project would serve as a catalyst for future digital initiatives by JSPT, raising service quality while contributing to more effective safety, investigation and enforcement systems.
More details, including how to file a report, will be available on the PDRM e-Reporting site at https://ereporting.rmp.gov.my.
