Leapmotor Malaysia Hands Over Two C10 EVs to MOT

Leapmotor Malaysia has handed over two C10 EVs to the Ministry of Transport for testing & operational evaluation.
Leapmotor Malaysia has handed over two units of its C10 EV SUVs to the Ministry of Transport (MOT), in support of Malaysia’s green transition and commitment to a low-carbon future.
The two C10 EVs were handed over yesterday in a special event, underscoring the shared vision between Leapmotor’s electrification agenda and the government’s unwavering commitment to sustainable mobility.

With this handover, the two Leapmotor C10 EVs will be used for a three-month testing and operational evaluation programme, where the ministry will be able to assess the performance, practicality, and readiness of EVs and hybrid vehicles within Malaysia’s transportation landscape.
The findings will contribute valuable insights to national EV infrastructure planning and play a vital role in encouraging wider EV adoption across both the public and private sectors.

Transport Minister YB Anthony Loke (left) attended the handover ceremony for the Leapmotor C10 EVs yesterday.
More importantly, Leapmotor Malaysia said this collaboration will represent a significant step in advancing Malaysia’s Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint (LCMB) 2021–2030, which outlines the nation’s strategy to decarbonise the land transport sector.
The LCMB emphasises reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, and promoting the adoption of EVs as a key enabler of a cleaner and more sustainable transportation ecosystem.
As for MOT, this initiative with Leapmotor Malaysia reflects the government’s determination to accelerate the nation’s green mobility agenda, foster innovation, and strengthen Malaysia’s position as a forward-looking country in sustainable transportation.

Now priced from only RM125,000, the updated 2025 Leapmotor C10 has gained several new features over the launch model back in 2024. Some key improvements include an 11 kW AC on-board charger (OBC), a new 32-litre frunk space, a new Direct Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a motorised tyre inflator pump kit, and many more.
Said price is also inclusive of a comprehensive 6-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty, plus a separate 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for the battery.
