MOT Reveals Top Bus, Lorry Companies Caught Speeding

Untitled-design---2025-10-17T105220.183.png The Transport Ministry has named and shamed Malaysia’s top bus and lorry companies caught speeding as a part of a tougher approach to hold transport operators accountable for road safety.

In a written reply to Rasah MP Cha Kee Chin in Parliament, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the “Name and Shame” policy, launched on June 25, is meant to pressure repeat offenders and improve safety across Malaysia’s highways.

“MOT, through the JPJ, remains committed to carrying out integrated enforcement activities through a multi-pronged strategy to reduce road fatalities involving heavy vehicles,” Loke said.

He said the initiative goes hand-in-hand with other enforcement measures including the use of Speed Limitation Devices (SLD), spot checks on Puspakom integrity, audits on high-risk transport firms, and action against overloaded vehicles or drivers caught under the influence.

According to JPJ’s latest records, SPT Power Transport Services topped the list of lorry operators with 114 active speeding summonses, followed by Tiong Soon Trading & Transport Sdn Bhd (88) and Visions Transport Enterprise Sdn Bhd (65). 

Others on the list include Tenaga Nasional Berhad (57), E2S Logistics Sdn Bhd (56), and Securiforce Sdn Bhd (53).

For buses, GJG Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd leads the pack with 271 active speeding notices, followed by Cepat Ekspres Sdn Bhd (198) and AC Interstate Coach (M) Sdn Bhd (185).

Also on the radar are Juara Roda Express, Express Senibudaya (M) Sdn Bhd, Pancaran Matahari (M) Sdn Bhd, Syarikat Pengangkutan Azra, Bas MARA, TMKL Express & Tours, and Zenwan (M) Sdn Bhd.

Loke stated companies that continue to flout the law risk not just public exposure but also suspension or cancellation of their operating permits.

"The ministry won’t hesitate to act if safety keeps being compromised," he warned.
