Nabil Azlan Wins 2025 TGR Malaysia eRacing Championship
The 2025 TGR Malaysia eRacing Championship saw fierce competition for its Grand Finale held in Sunway University last weekend.

The 2025 TGR Malaysia eRacing Championship series saw its grand finale take place last weekend at the Sunway University campus. This was perhaps one of the most fiercely contested sim-racing championship finales ever held too, and it was also streamed live online.
As reported prior, the revamped 2025 TGR Malaysia eRacing Championship competition format has expanded this year beyond its signature Gran Turismo 7 title platform – it’s also contested across other platforms, namely Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom and iRacing.

With its expanded competition format, up to 35% of the semi-finalists that took part last weekend were first-time participants to the series.

Notably, this refreshed format had also attracted new talent, and this was reflected last weekend with 35% of the semi-finalists being first-time participants. Many of whom here were established sim racers.
Months of competition across multiple platforms culminated with the grand finale last weekend, and it was Nabil Azlan who rose up to be Pro Class Champion. The youngster earned his crown after amassing a total of 133 points through his season-long consistency.
Ultimalte,y it was youngster Nabil Azlan that took the Pro Class Champion's crown last weekend, whereas his brother Naquib placed second ahead of multi-year reigning series champion Taj Izrin Aiman in third.

Nabil’s closest rival was his very own brother Naquib Azlan who finished second overall in the Pro Class with his total score of 130 points. Reigning and multi-year series champion Taj Izrin Aiman rounded off the top three with a total score of 126 points.
From the RM123,000 overall prize money pool put up by organisers UMW Toyota Motor, Pro Class Champion Nabil took home RM25,000, whilst his brother Naquib was awarded RM15,000 instead as runner up, and Taj also earned RM10,000 after placing third.
Despite missing out on this year's Pro Class crown nationally, Taj (centre) still earned his spot for the regional finals where he will be joined by Iqbal Suji (centre, left) and Chong Kai Chang (centre, right).

Concurrently, the Grand Finals also served to determine which sim-racers will advance and compete at the regional championship. For his superb race pace and comeback effort, Taj has earned his spot for said regional championship stage where he will vies to defend his title.
Taj will be joined here by Iqbal Suji and Chong Kai Chang, and the trio are now tasked with flying the Malaysian flag at the 2025 Toyota GR Asia eSports GT Championship. This regional-level contest takes pace next month in Bangkok, Thailand.
Pro Class aside, last weekend also saw the Grand Finale for the Toyota eRacing Campus Tour series, and it was INTI Subang student Randy Goh who reigned as champion here.

Complementing the main competition too was the finale of the Toyota eRacing Campus Tour. This series brings pro-grade sim-racing competition directly to students across eight Malaysian universities, and it was INTI Subang student Randy Goh that reigned supreme as champion here.
Lastly, last weekend's Grand Finale also serves to welcome aspiring racers aged between 16 to 22 to register for the 2026 intake of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Young Talent Development Programme.
Selected participants from which will then be invited to compete in the Rookie Class of the Toyota Vios Challenge 2026. Interested candidates can register online for which by clicking here before it closes on Oct 26.
