Over 10 Million Malaysians Benefit From BUDI95 Targeted Fuel Subsidy
More than 10 million Malaysians have benefited from the BUDI95 targeted RON95 fuel subsidy as of 4PM on Wed, marking a 62.5% participation rate among the 16 million eligible citizens, according to the Finance Ministry.
Since the initiative’s rollout on Sept 27, total fuel purchases have reached 365.7 million litres, worth RM727.7 million, at the subsidised price of RM1.99 per litre.

“The implementation of the targeted RON95 petrol subsidy under the BUDI95 initiative has garnered a highly encouraging response from the people since its launch,” the ministry said in a statement, noting that daily transactions have climbed steadily, peaking at over three million on weekends.
The subsidy was introduced in stages first for police and military personnel on Sept 27, followed by Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) recipients on Sept 28, and finally opened to all eligible Malaysians on Sept 30.
Meanwhile, Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Senator Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said only 34 complaints related to BUDI95 have been recorded so far, mostly involving minor technical issues.

She said motorists who were mistakenly charged RM2.60 per litre instead of the subsidised price can apply for refunds at mysubsidi.kpdn.gov.my by submitting fuel receipts as proof of purchase.
For further details, the public can visit the BUDI MADANI portal, check their transaction history via MyDigital ID, or contact the helpline at 1-300-88-9595 and WhatsApp +603-2631 4595.
