Proton: Sabah X50 Customers Have Nothing To Worry
Earlier today, Proton issued a statement reaffirming that it is more than capable in handling - and sustaining - after-sales demands for the X50 model in Sabah.

Earlier today, national automaker Proton released a statement to reaffirm X50 customers in Sabah state that they have no worries when it comes to after-sales for which. The national marque notes demand for the popular B-SUV has risen in Sabah of late too.
As a result, Proton highlighted the presence of a Regional Parts Centre (RPC) in the East Malaysian state’s bustling capital of Kota Kinabalu. In turn, this underscores the national brand’s commitment to the growing customer base it touted earlier.
Key to this is the national marque's Regional Parts Centre (RPC) established strategically in the Inanam district of Sabah state capital Kota Kinabalu.

Strategically located in the Inanam district, this Proton RPC spans 28,000 square feet to handle an average of 15 to 20 containers monthly. Proton also touts the facility’s capacity in unloading up to six containers simultaneously.
The latter also means this RPC can maintain a minimum of three to three-and-a-half months’ stock. Adding to which is the fact the facility is being primed to receive direct imports when necessary, boosting customer and dealer convenience too.
Proton further notes that the X50 is one of three key best-sellers in East Malaysia, the other two being the Saga and Persona models.

Altogether, Proton claims that Sabah-based dealers and service outlets can receive urgent parts in as quick as a day, whereas routine stock replenishments are fulfilled within two days thanks to sufficient inventory levels at the Inanam RPC mentioned.
“Sabah remains one of Proton’s most important growth markets in East Malaysia. Our Kota Kinabalu parts hub has the capability to fulfil up to 6,000 dealer orders monthly, helping to ensure fast and dependable service for our customers,” says Zhang Qiang, Deputy CEO of Proton Edar, via the statement released today.

Launched back in July this year, the Proton X50 underwent a major facelift and gained a new 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol heart to boot. Get up to speed with which in our in-depth launch report by clicking here.

Overall, Proton also notes that East Malaysia contributes up to 20.6% of its 2025 nationwide sales total. Additionally, year-to-date (YTD) growth in this region continues to be driven by key volume-sellers led by the Saga (15,438 units), Persona (24,95 units) and X50 (1,649 units).
In lieu of which, Proton again noted that it is currently implementing its Proton Operational Excellence (POE) initiative across Sabah state. Service processes, technical competency, stock control and customer experience are all measured through which.
Part of the X50's enhancements include a beefed up infotainment system featuring a locally-developed Bahasa Malaysia and English language voice command suite.

POE also sees dealerships reviewed monthly, with all performance data shared transparently to encourage both improvement and competition. From which, top-performing outlets are recognised through its 5-star Dealer Awards.
“Our goal is to give every Proton owner confidence that support is always accessible and efficient. Reaffirming the strength of our parts and service network reflects our commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences as our presence continues to grow in East Malaysia,” adds Zhang further.
