Jetour T2 Marks RHD Debut In Malaysia - Est. RM178,888*

Jetour Malaysia has given the public its first look at the right-hand-drive (RHD) version of the rugged Jetour T2 at the Setia City Convention Centre at an estimated price of RM178,888*. This marks the first appearance of the Malaysian-specific model, following the left-hand-drive (LHD) version’s preview at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025) earlier this year.
This debut signals Jetour’s next step toward its official launch, which sources suggest will happen in early 2026. The T2 will join the brand’s growing SUV line-up, expanding beyond the VT9 and Dashing.

Only one variant of the Jetour T2 has been officially revealed for now, the one packing a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and real-time 4WD. This setup produces 242 hp and 375 Nm, giving the SUV solid on-road punch and off-road versatility.
However, we do also expect the introduction of the 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version at a later stage. This variant would feature the Chery’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM setup, combining a turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor and a 26.7 kWh battery.

On paper, it promises up to 129 km of electric range (WLTC) and a remarkable 1,300 km total driving range, with fuel consumption as low as 1.08 L/100 km.
Built on Jetour’s Kunlun unibody platform, the T2 measures 4,785 mm long, 2,006 mm wide and 1,870 mm tall, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase — dimensions that put it close to the GWM Tank 300. Jetour says the T2 aims to deliver a balance between off-road strength and everyday comfort.

The design is boxy and muscular, with wide fenders, a bold bumper, chunky cladding, 19-inch wheels, side steps and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. It projects a confident, adventure-ready stance that stands out on the road.

Inside, the cabin combines rugged character with premium finishes. Highlights include powered leather seats, a 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, twin wireless chargers and a tall centre console with a rotary drive selector. Jetour dealers have also confirmed the inclusion of vacuum doors - a rare touch in this class.

Additionally, Jetour Malaysia also announced plans for major localisation, including RM560 million in manufacturing investment and RM216 million in research and development. These efforts could pave the way for local assembly of the T2, helping it compete more effectively with imported rivals such as the GWM Tank 300, which sells for around RM250,000.

Another possible challenger in this rugged SUV space is the upcoming iCar V23 EV, soon to be launched with an estimated price starting from RM145,000.
