Jetour VT9 And Dashing CKD Assembly Commences In Johor Bahru
Jetour Malaysia revealed local assembly (CKD) operations for both its Dashing C-SUV and VT9 D-SUV offerings have begun in Tampoi, Johor Bahru.

Earlier today, Jetour Auto Malaysia (Jetour Malaysia) revealed via press release that local assembly (CKD) operations for both the Jetour brand’s VT9 and Dashing models have commenced in Johor Bahru.
Both models are assembled at the Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd (B-assembly) facility located in Johor Bahru’s Tampoi district. The 640,000 square foot facility is also staffed by over 100 employees on hand.
Through this CKD effort, the Jetour Malaysia claims it has positioned Malaysia as a strategic ASEAN manufacturing and distribution hub. The firm also adds that the effort reinforces the brand’s long-term commitment to the Malaysian automotive market.

Both models are now being produced locally at the Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd (B-assembly) plant that spans 640,000 square foot and employs over 100 personnel.

“With the full launch of local production, we are proud to deliver high-quality vehicles assembled in Malaysia, reflecting our continued commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction,” adds Fu Yong, CEO of Jetour Malaysia.
“The local assembly of the Dashing and VT9 is not only a production advancement, but also a significant investment in talent, innovation, and the future potential of mobility in the region,” remarked Wen Qiangkang, Vice President of Jetour International.
Ther firm adds that this CKD initiative aligns with Malaysia’s automotive ambitions by increasing localisation, creating skilled employment opportunities, and fostering deeper integration within the local supply chain.

First announced during MAS 2024, the Jetour brand launched its first offering, the Dashing C-SUV (left) back in April this year before expanding with the VT9 model (right) that launched at MAS 2025.
As a refresher, Jetour Malaysia first debuted locally at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2204). It later launched its first offering, the Jetour Dashing C-SUV offering, in April this year priced at RM109,800 (Comfort) and RM116,800 (Prime).
The firm then expanded its range by launching the VT9 (renamed from X70 Plus previously), a three-row D-SUV offering slotted above the Dashing, at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025) priced at RM118,800 (Comfort) and RM123,800 (Prime).
Moving forward, Jetour also noted plans to invest approximately RM1.4 billion in Malaysia to support the introduction of more CKD models, as well as plans to expand exports to neighbouring ASEAN countries.
