Continental Tyre Malaysia Introduces Tyre Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty
![]()
All Continental, General Tire, and Viking tyres sold in Malaysia now come standard with a lifetime manufacturing warranty.
Continental Tyre Malaysia has announced a new Tyre Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty for its tyres sold in Malaysia, replacing the previous five-year manufacturer’s warranty. This warranty applies to all Continental, General Tire, and Viking tyres, ranging from passenger cars to SUVs and even 4x4 pick-up trucks.
According to the company, this new lifetime warranty covers protection against manufacturing defects throughout the tyre’s operational lifespan. However, damages resulting from external factors beyond Continental’s control, such as punctures, cuts, or impact damages caused by road hazards, are excluded from this warranty.

Another important bit to highlight about this new warranty is that it also retrospectively extended to all eligible passenger cars, SUVs, and 4x4 tyres purchased prior to this announcement.
Claims under this warranty will be accepted after inspection by an accredited Continental representative or authorised retailer, and reimbursement will be prorated from the average unused remaining tyre tread depth (RTD).

On top of the new lifetime manufacturing warranty, Continental continues to offer protection under its Total Confidence Plan (TCP) Road Hazard Warranty, which provides 12 months of coverage from the date of purchase against unexpected road damages when purchases are registered via the Conti TCP mobile app.
“We don’t just build tyres. We build confidence. This warranty is not just a promise, it reflects the rigorous quality control and innovation that goes into everything we make,” said Andrea Somorova, Managing Director of Continental Tyre Malaysia.
