Toyota-Camry-Maxim-full_normal-full_normal-full_normal.jpg Maxim Malaysia has officially received approval from the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) to continue its e-hailing services across the country after completing a three-month monitoring period.

The platform had previously faced an order to halt operations for allowing drivers without valid e-hailing vehicle permits (EVPs) to operate.

Maxim Malaysia Director Mohd Hazwan Musley said the company had addressed all compliance concerns and ensured that only legitimate drivers with valid EVPs can accept bookings.

"With this final approval, Maxim is ready to enter a stronger phase of growth in Malaysia.

"We will continue improving our services, expanding our reach, and ensuring a safe and reliable experience for passengers and driver-partners," Hazwan said.

During the monitoring period, the firm strengthened its operations by upgrading its driver registration systems, offering financial support of up to RM400 for new drivers, and introducing a zero-per-cent commission incentive for newly-approved drivers.

Safety enhancements included women-only ride options in selected cities, child seats for top-performing drivers, and an improved SOS button for emergencies.

The company also expanded services for persons with disabilities and continued community initiatives such as support for the blind and blood donation drives.
