Online ROI Opened Locally For Next-Gen Mercedes-Benz GLC EV
Screenshot on MBM's website sees the next-gen GLC EV (GLC with EQ Technology) listed as 'Available soon', and that registration of interest (ROI) are now opened.

No sooner after officially launching a new entry-level variant of the second-gen (X254) GLC premium crossover locally, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) appears to have already set its sights a few steps ahead.
Earlier today, Carz.com.my chanced upon sighting a newly added online registration of interest (ROI) page established on MBM’s official website for the upcoming new generation GLC model that debuted back in Sept this year.
ICYMI, MBM also just launched a new entry-level variant of the existing second-gen (X254) GLC earlier this week - the GLC 200 4Matic - priced at RM329,888.

Officially named the Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology, the third-generation iteration of the three-point star’s popular crossover SUV bowed as a pure electric (EV-only) offering that will be sold alongside the current second-gen combustion (ICE) model.
That last fact perhaps explains why MBM opened the online ROI page mentioned, though no clear launch timeline was stated. We’ll also remind you that the firm even opened online ROI for another EV prior, by which we mean the new third-gen CLA compact saloon.
The new third-gen GLC EV was revealed globally back in Sept this year packing an 800-volt architecture, peppy dual-motor driveline and a sizeable 94 kWh battery pack offering up t 713 KM range.

Not revealed too was pricing, though we’ll point out that the GLC range is currently priced from RM329,888 onwards as a reference. Unclear too is if this next-gen EV-only offering will enter the local market as a fully imported (CBU) or locally assembled (CKD) offering.
Underpinning the marque’s latest MB.EA-Medium platform, the new GLC EV boasts an 800-volt architecture plus a sizeable 94 kWh battery pack yielding up to 713 KM of WLTP-rated travel range and up to 330 kW DC fast-charging speeds (10-80% in 22 minutes).

Revealed solely in GLC 400 4Matic guise, this third-gen iteration of the GLC also sees both Airmatic air suspension and rear-wheel-steering (RWS) suites offered as options.

Launched solely GLC 400 4Matic guise, it also packs dual e-motors – one over each axle – outputting a combined 483 hp. In turn, this setup also despatches 0-100 km/h dashes in just 4.3 secs plus a capped V-max of 210 km/h.
Both 11 kW and 22 kW regular AC charging speeds were touted too, the latter being offered as an optional upgrade. We’ll also add that the rear e-motor specifically is brimmed with a unique two-speed transmission.

Presently, MBM has four variants of the GLC on offer comprised of the (clockwise) new GLC 200 4Matic, electrified GLC 350e andf GLC3 350e Coupe PHEVs, and the GLC 43 AMG Coupe performance range-topper.

Also offered as options are the three-point star’s renowned Airmatic air suspension suite, as is rear-wheel steering (RWS). We’ve detailed the new GLC EV at length prior, and you can get up to speed via our global debut report of which by clicking here.
Well, what do you folks reckon? Would you hold your breaths to see this new, charged and high-tech redux of the GLC to make landfall? Or do you reckon MBM has enough variants of the GLC currently in hand to entice you? Hit the comments below…
