BYD Seal 06 Set to Gain Cutting-Edge 'God’s Eye C' and Long Range

BYD is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup with the upcoming Seal 06 EV, recently revealed by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
Built for efficiency and performance, the sedan will be available with two LFP battery options - 46.08kWh (470 KM CLTC) and 56.6kWh (545 KM CLTC).
Performance-wise, the Seal 06 EV offers two powertrain choices. The high-power version delivers 160 kW (215 HP), while the low-power variant generates 110 kW (148 HP). Both versions can reach a top speed of 160 KM/H.
As a mid-size sedan, it measures 4720 MM long with a 2,820 MM wheelbase, 1,880 MM wide, and 1,495 MM tall. Both variants will weigh between 1670 kg and 1800 kg, depending on configuration.

The Seal 06 EV shares its dimensions, battery configurations and range with the Qin L EV, suggesting that both models are built on the same platform to streamline its production process.
Aesthetically, the Seal 06 EV embodies BYD’s signature “ocean aesthetics” design. Typical to most EVs, it sports a closed front grille with a lower trapezoidal air intake, sharp LED headlights, and semi-hidden door handles.

The rear is distinguished by a striking through-type taillight with a traditional “Chinese knot” pattern as we have seen in the facelifted Atto 3. A key update compared to the hybrid variant is the use of BYD’s new logo, replacing the much hated “Build Your Dreams” branding.
The Seal 06 EV is said to feature BYD’s basic “God’s Eye” C intelligent driving system, also known as DiPilot 100. The vehicle is equipped with three cameras on the front windshield, along with additional cameras on the front fenders and rear roof spoiler, enhancing its intelligent driving capabilities.

With the introduction of the Seal 06 EV, BYD expands its Seal 06 series, which already includes the Seal 06 DM-i and Seal 06 GT. This latest addition underscores BYD’s dedication to pushing forward in the EV space, offering cutting-edge technology and refined design in an accessible package.
With BYD’s aggressive expansion in the export market, it’s likely only a matter of time before the Seal 06 EV receives a right-hand drive conversion, potentially making its way to Malaysia as an entry-level electric sedan.
