While the 2026 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) season kicks off in Shanghai this weekend, Malaysian fans are already looking ahead to the highlight of the year: the homecoming.

For Team Porsche Malaysia and our local hero, Naquib Azlan, the trip to Sepang International Circuit represents more than just another race on the calendar. It is the moment where digital-to-reality talent meets its home crowd.

The Dates: August 21–23, 2026

The championship arrives in Malaysia for Rounds 9, 10, and 11. Unlike other stops on the calendar that typically feature two races, Sepang is set to host a high-intensity "Triple-Header" weekend.

This means fans will get three times the action as 911 GT3 Cup cars battle for supremacy under the tropical heat.

The Format: Sprint & Endurance

Sepang isn't just about raw speed; it's about versatility. The weekend will feature:

  • Two Sprint Races: High-stakes battles where driver ability makes the difference.
  • One Endurance Format Weekend: A test of stamina and strategy for both the driver and the crew at Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM).

Why Sepang Matters for Naquib Azlan

Naquib recently set a blistering 1:35.391 at the Zhuhai official tests, proving his sim-racing skills have translated into elite real-world pace. However, Sepang is a circuit he knows intimately.

Racing under Car Number 17 in the distinctive blue and orange Sime Motors livery, this will be the first time local fans can witness his transition from the virtual arena to the PRO category on home soil.
