The Ministry of Works (KKR) and Public Works Department (JKR) just launched the first-ever Design and Installation Guidelines for Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Systems during the 2026 Senior Officers' Conference (SOC).

While Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) has long regulated the electrical safety and licensing of chargers, JKR’s new manual is the first to standardize the actual civil design and placement on our public road networks.

The new initiative aims to expand charging infrastructure to federal, state, and municipal roads under JKR’s supervision.
