Perodua Slashed Its QV-E Monthly Battery Costs To RM215 (And 3 Other Pricing Wins You Need To Know)

Following a massive domestic localization shift that has vastly optimized their backend operations, Perodua has officially announced a total restructure for their QV-E (Quest for Visionary Electric Vehicle) pricing.

By manufacturing a significant number of spare parts right here with Malaysian vendors, the national automaker is heavily reducing its dependence on foreign supply chains, and they are passing those massive savings directly down to your wallet.

If you’ve been eyeing a transition into next-gen mobility but were holding out for a budget-friendly deal, here is exactly how Perodua just completely rewrote the EV affordability playbook.

4 Massive Pricing Wins Hiding Inside Perodua's New EV Restructure

1. Battery-as-a-Service Drops To RM215

When the QV-E first debuted, car owners could opt to lease the battery via Perodua's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program for RM275 a month.

Thanks to their new localization efficiencies, that monthly subscription fee has officially been slashed down to an insanely affordable RM215 per month (inclusive of tax) for a nine-year tenure. Even better, it comes with the ultimate peace-of-mind guarantee: unlimited mileage and a minimum 70% battery State of Health (SoH) throughout the entire leasing period.

2. The 'Full Loan' Loophole: A Limited-Time RM6,500 Rebate

To sweeten the deal, Perodua is rolling out a special introductory RM6,500 rebate running from now until September 30, 2026. If you do the math, this limited-time rebate happens to equal exactly 10% of the newly reduced base vehicle price.

This means for budget-conscious buyers looking to use the BaaS model, the rebate effectively creates a clever mathematical workaround for a "zero downpayment, full loan" entry route!

3. The Outright Buy-Back Guarantee: Own It Fully For RM87,499

If you absolutely hate the idea of a monthly leasing subscription, Perodua now offers an outright purchase option where you buy the car and the battery together as a single unit.

With the active promotional rebate applied, the all-in cost drops from RM93,999 down to RM87,499 (on-the-road without insurance). If you purchase outright, the battery is covered by an 8-year/160,000 km warranty. The best part? Perodua explicitly promises to buy back the battery pack from you when the time eventually comes to dispose of or trade in the vehicle.

4. The Early Adopter Reward: Automatic Refunds For Existing Customers

Usually, when a car company slashes prices, the early adopters who bought in on day one end up getting burned. Perodua is completely flipping the script here.  Existing QV-E owners on the old leasing plan will automatically see their monthly BaaS fee lowered to the new RM215 rate starting on their next billing cycle. Furthermore, Perodua has confirmed that early customers will be given a special cash refund, and sales advisors will be contacting them directly to coordinate the payouts.

The Verdict: Is Perodua’s New EV Deal A Total No-Brainer?

If you value complete, worry-free ownership, the lowered RM215 monthly battery subscription is brilliant. It handles the single biggest anxiety Malaysians have about EVs, costly battery degradation, by guaranteeing at least 70% battery health with unlimited mileage for nine years.

On the flip side, paying the RM87,499 upfront promotional price lets you escape a monthly commitment altogether, backed by a solid 8-year or 160,000 km warranty and an official corporate promise that Perodua will buy back your battery pack when you're ready to trade up.

What do you think? Are you ready to trade in your traditional petrol hatchback for a sub-RM64k electric city slicker, or does a monthly battery commitment still make you nervous? Let us know your strategy in the comments!
