Zeekr Turned First-Time Track Drivers Into "Confident Pros" At This Supervised Sepang Event

Driving on a world-class race track like the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) sounds amazing in theory, but it can be incredibly intimidating in reality. The sharp corners, the high speeds, and the fear of pushing a premium car past its limits are enough to give any everyday driver a bit of stage fright.
But recently, Zeekr Malaysia decided to show its community that track days aren’t just for seasoned racing professionals.
At the first-ever Zeekr Dynamic flagship event hosted at Sepang, the brand brought together close to 500 owners and their families from Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. Instead of just letting drivers loose on the tarmac, they created a highly structured, professionally supervised environment designed to turn track rookies into absolute pros behind the wheel.
Here is how they took the fear out of track driving and helped everyday owners master their machines:
1. Conquering the track with professional supervision
The secret to building instant confidence on a race track is knowing you are in safe hands. The core of the Zeekr Dynamic event relied on guided track exercises conducted under strict professional supervision.

Drivers weren't expected to magically know how to handle high-speed racing lines. Instead, pro instructors took them through a series of structured modules designed to show exactly how the cars behave beyond everyday highway conditions.
The day wrapped up with a controlled Track Convoy session, allowing first-timers to safely experience acceleration and braking transitions at high speeds without the stress of an unregulated race.
2. Pushing safety tech to the absolute limit

Most drivers know their cars have safety features, but very few have actually felt them kick in. Zeekr used the safety of the track to let owners intentionally trigger these systems so they know exactly how the car protects them in real-world emergencies.
The rookie drivers were put through major stress tests, including:
- Obstacle Avoidance: Intentionally making sudden maneuvers to feel how the electronic stability systems (ESP/ESC) instantly step in to keep the vehicle under control.
- The Slalom Course: Weaving through dynamic cone layouts to master steering precision, agility, and chassis balance.
- Emergency Braking: Stamping on the brakes under high-intensity deceleration to experience maximum stopping performance and ABS response safely.
- Lane Change Manoeuvres: Testing controlled directional shifts supported by Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like Lane Keeping Assist.
3. A track day that doubled as a family festival
Usually, track days mean leaving your family at home, or forcing them to sit in a hot pit garage for hours. Zeekr completely flipped the script by turning the paddock into a full-scale family lifestyle festival.
While owners were conquering their track anxieties, their guests and kids were fully entertained with a "Track Challenge Passport" to collect stamps and win rewards, interactive reaction games, and professional racing simulators to virtually lap Sepang. Combined with dedicated kids' zones and local food trucks, the event proved that performance and family lifestyle can easily mix.
By letting owners experience the premium driving dynamics of the Zeekr 7X and Zeekr X in a controlled setting, the brand managed to bridge the gap between high-performance track capability and everyday road confidence.
Owners didn't just walk away with cool memories; they went home with a significantly deeper understanding of how their vehicle's safety tech actually works when things get sketchy on real roads.
