• Battery & Range: 71.8 kWh Blade LFP battery offering up to 520 km (NEDC) / ~440 km (WLTP).

• Interior Highlights: Synthetic leather seats (instead of real leather) and drops the 50-inch AR-HUD found on higher trims.

For the returning Premium and Performance trims, the biggest engineering upgrade lies under the floorboards. BYD replaced the previous 82.5 kWh pack with a larger 91.39 kWh Blade LFP Battery.

• Premium (RWD): Range jumps from 567 km (NEDC) to an impressive 650 km (NEDC) / ~553 km (WLTP).
• Performance (AWD): WLTP range climbs to 502 km (up from 454 km on the 2024 model).

3. Game-Changing 800V Architecture & 230 kW Fast Charging

The enlarged 91.39 kWh battery brings a massive hardware upgrade: an 800-volt electrical architecture.

This unlocks 230 kW DC fast charging (up from 150 kW on the 2024 models). That means charging your battery from 10% to 80% now takes just 24 minutes, saving you 8 full minutes at highway charging stations compared to the 400V predecessor.

4. Extra Equipment & Spec Tweaks

While the larger battery and faster charging architecture take center stage, BYD has quietly revised several smaller feature details across the 2026 Sealion 7 lineup:

• Audio System Setup: Premium and Performance trims retain the high-end 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, while the new entry-level Dynamic variant uses an in-house 10-speaker setup.
• Boot Capacity Differences: The base Dynamic variant offers 500 litres of rear trunk space, while the Premium and Performance models feature a slightly larger 520-litre trunk capacity.
• Hands-Free Loading: Upper Premium and Performance variants come equipped with a kick-sensor hands-free powered tailgate for added convenience.
• 0-100 km/h Sprint Time (Premium): Due to the added weight of the larger 91.39 kWh battery, the 2026 Premium (RWD) variant now completes 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds (up from 6.7 seconds on the 2024 model). The Performance AWD remains unchanged at 4.5 seconds.
