Audi A6

The 8th generation Audi A6 is available in one variant which is the 3.0 litre V6 TFSI which is priced around RM589,900 excluding insurance. The A6 highlights power, grace and comfort. 

The design is a modern and futuristic, digital layout that has various layered dashboard elements. It features the dual touchscreen  - 10.1-inch to display the infotainment system and 8.6-inch to adjust the car’s setting.

The instrument cluster is made up of a 12.3-inch virtual cockpit layout with bright and clear display as well as a head-up display projector.

The vehicle comes with 5 seats for maximum comfort. The seats are finished with a leather upholstery. Not only that, the front seats are electric adjustable and the rear seats come with 60/40 split folding. Both the driver and passenger seats are completed with power adjustable seats as well as the memory function feature for the driver’s seat. 

All passengers will be provided maximum convenience as the A6 was designed for a brand new perspective on comfort. The vehicle will leave no shortage of leg space even for passengers that are slightly taller than an average Asian who have fully extended their seat. This will allow for maximum comfort even during long journeys. 

The car has a conveniently sized glove compartment that is able to fit not only the car manual and service booklet but also essential items such as sanitizers and extra masks. There are 4 cupholders in the vehicle; 2 in the front as well as 2 in the back row. As for the bottle holders, there are a total of four bottle holders, each at every door panel.

The A6 has four USB charging ports and there is also a 12-volt power socket to provide power to your devices. 

The available boot space for the A6 is 530 litres. 

The measurements are 4,939 mm length, 1,874 mm width, 1,455 mm height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,912 mm. 

The A6 gives off a very graceful and sleek feel to it with the main focus being the noteworthy singleframe grille as well as the improved LED headlamps. 

The rear of the A6 displays their spacious and elegant design that focuses on the tail lamps which are joined together by a single chrome piece just like the A8 model.

The front headlamps are LED adaptive projection headlamps with built-in LED daytime running lights and dynamic indicators.

The A6 comes equipped with 20-inches of new-tone alloy wheels.

The A6 has the following active safety features; forward collision warning (FCW), automatic emergency braking (AEB), high speed automatic emergency braking (HAEB), pedestrian detection (PD), lane departure warning (LDW), lane keeping assistance (LKA), rear automatic emergency braking (RAEB), lane-centering assist (LCA) and adaptive cruise control (ACC). 

The passive features include six airbags, ISOFIX, front and rear parking sensors as well as 360 degree reverse camera.

There are three drive modes available; comfort, auto and dynamic. 

Features a pair of touchscreen infotainment displays which are 10.1-inches and 8.6-inches respectively. The screens are compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto support.

With the LKA, LCA, LDW and ACC, the driver will be less fatigued driving long distance.

The A6 is equipped with a 3.0 litre six-cylinder engine that produces 333 hp at 5,300 rpm and 440 Nm of torque at 2,900 rpm. The engine is mated to the 48-volt mild-hybrid technology lithium-ion battery to give the extra power and distance to the A6.

The vehicle is equipped with a 7-speed s-tronic transmission.

Features the company’s Quattro AWD system. 

The car is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 5.1 seconds with the maximum acceleration of 250 kph.

The average fuel consumption is approximately 11.5 l/100km.

Among the features that gives more convenience are the rear 60/40 split folding seats, adaptive cruise control, hill start assist, electric steering adjustment, steering audio control, navigation, 360 reverse camera, powered boot and keyless-entry with push start button. 

Rear air vents are available in the A6. It is located at the centre, behind the centre armrest, and by the B-pillar.

The quality of the ride is smooth and the seats are very comfortable even for long journeys.  

The sound insulation in the car is effortless as road and wind noises were dampened. 

The A6 has a refreshingly graceful and luxurious design that also accentuates the practicality of the vehicle that will garner the attention of patriarchs from family friendly households. It exhibits Audi’s futuristic design not only on the exterior, but for its interior as well. However, the only set back for the Audi A6 is the price, where it is hard to compete with its competitors.
