A special edition and the latest addition, the new Ford Everest Wildtrak, officially launched in Malaysia.

The Everest line-up’s fourth variant, it builds on the Ranger Wildtrak and slots above the Everest Titanium.

Fully-imported (CBU), the 4x4 SUV hailing from Thailand tags at MYR 338,888 (OTR, w/o insurance). 

Included is a standard warranty (three years/100,000 KM), and an optional extended warranty (two years/60,000 KM).

Three exterior colours. Meteor Grey, Absolute Black, and Luxe Yellow.

Interior

Dashboard

The new Everest Wildtrak gets a modern and cleanly-arranged dashboard, decked-out in premium soft pad panels. 

Upholstery is in Ebony Black leather (doors, centre console, dashboard), heightened by orange contrast stitching.

Highlighted by an ambient light system, the overall cockpit is luxuriously user-friendly and driver-centric.

Instrument Cluster

Installed is a 12.4-Inch colour digital instrument cluster with Multi-Information Display (MID), and a configurable interface.

Seats

Interior of the seven-seater (2-3-2 formation) sees the Wildtrak scheme upholstery (Ebony Black leather with orange contrast stitching).

Equipped up front (first-row) are electronically-powered seats (eight-way, lumbar support) with ‘Wildtrak’ logos.

The second-row (40:20:40 split-fold) and third-row (50:50 split-fold) feature a bench seat with power folding functions. 

Complementing the layout is a panoramic glass sunroof (dual-panel).

Space

Cabin space is ample for all occupants, as it offers plenty of head, shoulder and leg rooms. The space is very generous due to its stocky body design.

Storage Space

Numerous storage areas. E.g., side door and backseat pockets, centre console partitioned and rear under-seat spaces, and a glove box.

Steering Functions

Mounted is a four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with multi-function controls (media, phone, vehicle settings), and column adjustments (tilt, telescopic).

The steering is aided via a setup of Rack and Pinion, Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS).

Cup Holders

Multiple cup (centre-console, pull-out) and bottle (door panels) holders, located all around the cabin.

Charging Ports

Provided are four USB ports (USB-A, USB-C - first-row, second-row), three 12 V sockets (centre console, third-row, boot), a wireless charger (centre console), a 230 V AC socket (centre console), and a front windscreen-mounted USB (dashcam).

Boot Space

The boot comes with an Easy-Lift tailgate (powered-tailgate - handsfree).

Weighing in at 2,357 KG, the new Everest Wildtrak stands at 4,914 MM long, 1,923 MM wide, 1,841 MM tall, and with a wheelbase spanning 2,900 MM.

Front View

Elegantly-rugged, it has a very large and commanding presence, parading an overall robust and smooth exterior.

The front-end sees a ‘Wildtrak’ badged bonnet, a ‘Wildtrak’ grille, a silver bumper guard, and Boulder Grey trims (bumper, fenders, side mirrors).

Rear View

Symmetrically-solid, the rear-end is minimalistic featuring clean contours and horizontally-aligned elements.

Incorporated is a roof-edge spoiler, an ‘Everest’ badged tailgate, a body-coloured bumper, and Boulder Grey trims (bumper, fenders).

Headlamps

The headlamps are typical of new Ford models, commandingly-sized and uniquely-striking.

Fitted are Matrix LED units with C-clamp LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), predictive curve lights, glare-free high beams, and auto-dynamic levelling.

Tail Lamps

Rectangularly wrapped-around, the tail lamps are in a full-width lightbar design (‘Everest’ script instead of light strip). 

Installed are full LED units, paired to a spoiler-mounted LED stop lamp. Elsewhere, is a set of LED fog lamps, akin to the front.

Side Mirror

The Boulder Grey capped side mirrors are electronically-powered (fold, adjust), with turn signals (intelligent 3-blink), blind spot indicators, and puddle lamps.

Brakes

Fitted are ventilated disc (front) and disc (rear) brakes, aided by an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system.

Wheels

Latching it to the ground is a set of 20-Inch dual-tone alloy rims, rubbered-up in 255/55 R20 tyres.
