Jetour Dashing

The Jetour Dashing is a five-seat C-segment SUV combining coupe-inspired styling, a spacious cabin and value-focused equipment.

Officially launched in Malaysia on 9 April 2025, the Dashing is now locally assembled in Johor and offered in Comfort and Prime variants. The Dark Warrior Limited Edition, introduced in April 2026, is based on the Prime and adds a matte-black exterior, blacked-out badging, unique wheels and red brake calipers.

All variants use a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 154 HP and 230 NM, paired with a six-speed wet dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive.

The cabin uses a modern horizontal dashboard centred around a pair of integrated 10.25-inch displays.

Soft-touch dashboard trim and a clean horizontal layout contribute to the Dashing's more premium appearance.

The centre console incorporates the electronic gear selector, cup holders, storage compartments and a 50 W wireless smartphone charging pad.

The front centre armrest also features a storage compartment with cooling and heating ventilation.

A 10.25-inch fully digital instrument display is positioned alongside the infotainment screen, creating the appearance of a single widescreen panel.

It displays vehicle speed, driving information, fuel data and other vehicle functions.

Leather upholstery is standard.

The driver's seat receives six-way electric adjustment on both variants.

The Prime adds four-way lumbar adjustment for the driver, a four-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat and adjustable rear-seat backrest angle.

The Comfort instead receives a manually adjustable front passenger seat.

With a 2,720 MM wheelbase and 1,900 MM body width, the Dashing offers generous accommodation for five occupants.

Rear-seat space is particularly useful for family use, while the relatively flat cabin layout improves passenger usability.

A leather multifunction steering wheel features audio and vehicle controls together with tilt and telescopic adjustment.

Paddle shifters are also standard.

Storage areas include large door pockets, centre-console compartments, a front armrest storage compartment and a sunglasses holder.

The cooled/heated armrest storage area provides additional practicality for drinks and smaller items.

Front cup holders are integrated into the centre console.

Rear occupants receive a folding centre armrest with integrated cup holders.

The Dashing provides:

The cabin combines soft-touch dashboard materials, leather upholstery and metallic-style trim with a modern, technology-focused layout.

The Prime enhances the ambience further through configurable ambient lighting and additional equipment.

The Jetour Dashing measures:

Kerb weight is 1,513 KG for the Comfort and 1,553 KG for the Prime.

The Dashing features a wide frameless-style grille flanked by slim daytime running lights and vertically positioned main headlamp units.

Its low bonnet, broad front end and sculpted surfaces give it a more crossover-coupe appearance than a traditional upright SUV.

The Dark Warrior receives a more aggressive appearance through matte-black paintwork and blacked-out exterior badging.

The rear features a sloping roofline, roof spoiler and sculpted tailgate complemented by slim LED lighting.

The Dark Warrior further distinguishes itself with black Jetour and Dashing emblems.

Automatic and adjustable LED headlamps are standard across the range, accompanied by LED daytime running lights.

LED brake lamps, LED turn signals and sequential rear turn indicators are standard.

Both variants feature electrically adjustable exterior mirrors.

The Prime additionally receives electric folding, heating and LED welcome lights, while the Comfort omits these additional functions. 

The braking system consists of:

Front: Ventilated discs
Rear: Solid discs

An electronic parking brake with Auto Hold is standard.

The Dark Warrior adds red-painted brake calipers as part of its visual package.

The Comfort rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with 235/60 R18 tyres.

The Prime gets larger 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with 235/55 R19 tyres.

The Dark Warrior uses special 19-inch Phantom Spec black alloy wheels, retaining the 235/55 tyre size.

A space-saver spare tyre is provided.

Standard electronic safety equipment includes:

ABS, EBD, Emergency Brake Assist, Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Descent Control and Roll Movement Intervention.

A tyre-pressure monitoring system and adjustable overspeed warning are also standard.

Importantly, the Malaysian Dashing does not have Autonomous Emergency Braking, including the Prime and Dark Warrior.

The Comfort receives four airbags:

Driver airbag
Front passenger airbag
Front side airbags

The Prime and Dark Warrior increase this to six airbags by adding front and rear curtain airbags.

ISOFIX rear child-seat mounting points, child safety locks and collision-sensing automatic door unlocking are standard.

The Dashing provides Eco and Sport selectable drive modes, with the regular calibration used for normal everyday operation.

The powertrain response and transmission behaviour are altered according to the selected mode.

A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard and sits alongside the matching digital instrument display.

It supports both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

Climate functions can also be controlled through the touchscreen and voice control.

The Comfort receives conventional cruise control, four rear parking sensors and a reversing camera with guidelines.

The Prime and Dark Warrior add:

This is a relatively limited driver-assistance package compared with rivals offering full Level 2 ADAS, as there is no AEB, adaptive cruise control or lane centring.

The Comfort comes with a four-speaker audio system.

The Prime and Dark Warrior upgrade this to six speakers.

All Malaysian Dashing variants use a 1,498 CC turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.

Maximum Output: 154 HP at 5,500 RPM
Maximum Torque: 230 NM from 1,750-4,000 RPM

The same engine is used by the Comfort, Prime and Dark Warrior.

Power is transmitted through a six-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.

Paddle shifters allow manual gear selection.

All Malaysian variants are front-wheel drive.

Suspension consists of MacPherson struts at the front and independent multi-link suspension at the rear.

Jetour Malaysia does not publish an official 0-100 KM/H acceleration figure for the Malaysian 1.5T Dashing in its current brochure.

Therefore, for the Magazine database I would not present an unofficial acceleration figure as manufacturer data.

Jetour Malaysia's current Malaysian brochure also does not state an official combined fuel-consumption figure.

Fuel tank capacity is 57 litres.

Rather than mixing overseas WLTC figures with the Malaysian specification, I would leave the consumption figure unstated unless the backend requires a numerical value. 

Standard equipment includes keyless entry and start, remote engine start, powered tailgate, remote window operation, 50 W wireless charging and all-window one-touch operation with anti-pinch protection.

The Prime additionally features a wide-angle panoramic sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, ambient lighting and upgraded exterior mirrors. 

Dedicated rear air-conditioning vents are standard on both Comfort and Prime.

A CN95 cabin air filter is also included.

The Dashing combines MacPherson front suspension with independent multi-link rear suspension, giving it a relatively sophisticated chassis setup for its price bracket.

The Comfort's 18-inch wheels and taller-profile tyres should provide the softer setup, while the Prime's larger 19-inch wheels trade some tyre compliance for a sportier appearance.

Cabin insulation is aided by the relatively substantial body structure, upholstered interior surfaces and enclosed cabin design.

Engine and tyre noise remain more noticeable under heavier acceleration and at highway speeds than in more refinement-focused premium SUVs.

The Jetour Dashing focuses heavily on space, styling and equipment for the money.

Its 154 HP and 230 NM 1.5-litre turbo engine, six-speed wet DCT and multi-link rear suspension give it competitive mechanical specifications, while a 486-litre boot, powered tailgate, dual 10.25-inch displays and wireless smartphone connectivity strengthen its family-SUV credentials.

The Prime is the more complete variant, adding six airbags, a panoramic roof, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, electric passenger seat and 19-inch wheels. The 2026 Dark Warrior retains the Prime's equipment while adding a much more distinctive matte-black appearance.

Its largest weakness remains the safety-assistance package: even the highest-spec version lacks AEB and adaptive cruise control, which limits its score against newer C-segment rivals.
