Toyota Innova

The Toyota Innova is currently on their 2nd generation, and there are three variants available; the 2.0 E, 2.0 G and 2.0 X. Prices are RM 111,622, RM 121,483 and RM 129,677 respectively. These prices do not include insurance but are inclusive of the sales and service tax. The facelifted Innova highlights space, versatility and comfort. 

The design is a modern and futuristic digital layout that gives a more commanding feel to the vehicle.

The instrument cluster is made up of a 4.2-inch TFT multi-info display. 

The car comes with 8 seats for maximum comfort. The 2.0 variant seats are finished in a black combination leather upholstery with an eight-way power adjustable driver seat and second-row captain seats. 

Both front, second row passengers will be spoiled with maximum comfort as the Innova was designed for the individuals’ greatest convenience. The first two rows will leave no shortage of leg space even for passengers that are six footers who have fully extended their seat. However, the third row may be cramped for taller passengers. 

The car has a glove compartment that can fit not only the car manual and service booklet but also is able to fit some essential items such as your lipstick and tissues for a quick fix. There are also multiple other storage space options in the vehicle such as the cavern beneath the front central armrest where passengers are able to fit their facemasks  or even sanitizers. 

There are 4 cup holders and 4 bottle holders available in the Innova. There is one bottle holder located at each door panel.

The vehicle has 4 USB charging ports and a wireless charging pad in the centre console.

The available boot space is 300 litres. 

The measurements are 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,795 mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,750 mm. 

The Innova gives a sportier but also a more classy look with the main focus being the revised bumper and trapezoidal-shaped grille with a chrome and black theme as well as more striking headlights. 

The rear of the Innova displays an improved design that focuses on the now black rear lights and rear bumper spoiler. 

The front headlamps are LED projection units that also include fog lights and improved LED daytime running lights. 

The tail lamps are normal bulbs that also include LED fog lights. 

The Innova comes with 17-inch alloy wheels for the 2.0 X variant. And 16-inch alloy wheels for the 2.0G and 2.0E variants. 

The Innova has the following active safety features; Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), traction control, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill-start assist control, as well as additional safety features such as blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert for the 2.0 X variant. 

The passive features include seven airbags, ISOFIX, reverse camera as well as front and rear parking sensors. 

There are three DMS profiles available which are Normal, Eco and Power, to choose from to suit their needs. 

Features a 9-inch touchscreen Infotainment System that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The screen also serves as a display for a 3D Panoramic View Monitor (PVM). 

The Innova is equipped with a 2.0 litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 137 hp at 5,600 rpm and 183 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. 

The Innova comes with a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission. 

Power is sent to its rear wheels. 

The Innova is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 16.4 seconds. The maximum speed of the Innova is around 180 km/h. 

The average fuel consumption is approximately 9.3 l/100km for the Innova. 

The Innova comes with touchscreen audio display system, Apple carplay and Android Auto, engine start/stop button, height adjustable driver’s seat, automatic headlamps, Follow Me Home headlamps, power steering, foldable rear seat, remote trunk opener, trunk light.  

The vehicle comes equipped with rear air-conditioning.
