First Tesla V4 Superchargers In ASEAN @ IOI Malls

Tesla Malaysia has installed its first V4 Supercharging stations in Southeast Asia (ASEAN), at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya and IOI Mall, Puchong. Each location has four V4 superchargers and one destination charger.
These Supercharging stations will be the first installed at an IOI Group-owned site, following in the footsteps of malls owned by the Sunway and Pavilion groups. It also comes just a month after Tesla Malaysia launched ASEAN's largest Tesla Supercharger Station in Gamuda Cove, Selangor.

Charging fees at both locations are based on the typical Supercharging rate of RM1.25/kWh, while the destination charger is currently free. However, like with any other Tesla charging station, charging at both IOI Mall sites is limited to Tesla models only. There will also be an idle tax of RM4/min (when the Supercharging Station is 100%).
Additionally, users who choose to charge up at either IOI City Mall or IOI Mall Puchong will be charged a parking fee of RM2 for the first hour and RM1 for each subsequent hour (Monday - Friday), and RM3 for the first hour and RM1 for each subsequent hour on Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays.

The Tesla V4 Superchargers differs significantly from the typical V2 by being an entirely enclosed unit with no hole in the middle. It also has a longer charging nozzle for easy access. It also features a tap and pay capability that has not yet been activated, which allows non-Tesla vehicles to be charged at these supercharging stations in the future via a payment card.

The V4 charger, just like the generations before, can achieve a peak charging rate of up to 250kW. Tesla Malaysia has so far installed 10 Supercharging stations totaling 48 Superchargers and 11 Destination Charging stations (57 chargers) in Malaysia.
