This JETOUR G700 Ark Edition Can Do Something Most SUVs Can't

Driving through water is one thing. But actually moving across its surface? That's something else entirely.
And that's precisely what JETOUR has demonstrated with its G700 Ark Edition, an amphibious SUV equipped with technology designed to navigate on water, rather than simply wade through it.
During its 2026 Global Technology Experience Day, the G700 Ark Edition completed an on-water navigation trial, followed by hands-on driving experiences involving international media. With the regular G700 already previewed in Malaysia, there's another obvious question: could this water-capable version eventually follow?
- Demonstrated: Controlled on-water navigation during JETOUR's 2026 technology event.
- Technology: GAIA Ark Tech with sealing, stability controls and dedicated 800V equipment.
- Malaysia: No local launch, pricing or availability announced for the Ark Edition.
How Does The JETOUR G700 Ark Edition Travel On Water?

The secret lies in GAIA Ark Tech, JETOUR's specialised amphibious technology system.
According to the manufacturer, the system combines three main elements to support controlled movement on water.
When navigation mode is activated, the powertrain redirects energy to the dedicated water-fording system, allowing the SUV to move forward and maintain directional control.
JETOUR also says key components feature IP68-rated protection against dust and water ingress.
In short, this isn't simply a G700 with improved water-wading capability. It's a specialised version designed to navigate on water.
What Is The Technology Actually For?
JETOUR says GAIA Ark Tech is intended for specialised applications, including emergency rescue, outdoor exploration and demanding field operations.
However, the latest announcement does not disclose important operating details such as maximum speed on water, navigation endurance or the conditions under which the system can be used.
For now, the demonstration shows what JETOUR's technology can achieve under its trial conditions, rather than establishing its capabilities across every environment.
Will The JETOUR G700 Ark Edition Come To Malaysia?
Not confirmed. JETOUR Malaysia has not announced a local launch, pricing or availability for the amphibious Ark Edition.
Malaysian motorists may already be familiar with the regular G700, which was previewed at KLIMS 2026. As Carz previously reported, the model forms part of JETOUR's move into the premium off-road SUV segment.
But the regular G700 and the amphibious G700 Ark Edition are not the same vehicle specification.
Although JETOUR Malaysia issued the latest press release, it does not indicate whether the Ark Edition will be offered to local buyers.
For now, the G700 Ark Edition remains an intriguing demonstration of JETOUR's all-terrain technology. Whether Malaysians will ever get to experience its water-navigation capability remains an open question.
