- New Slalom World Record Holder Is Just 16-Year-Old!
Can you remember what were you doing when you were 16? If you ask us, we were probably just messing around in school waiting for time to pass. But for Chloe Chambers though, she can firmly say that she’s now a Guinness World Record holder, which she has done piloting a Porsche 718 Spyder – at an age where most us are just learning how to drive!
The record is for the “Fastest Vehicle Slalom”, which required Chambers to weave through 50 cones at a 50-foot (15.24 metres) interval as fast as she possibly could without hitting any of them. The previous record stood at 48.11 seconds, a time that Chambers matched on her first actual run. Which is already a very impressive feat.

On Chambers’ final run, the 16-year-old girl managed to beat the time by more than half a second, making her an official Guinness World Record holder with a time of 47.45 seconds. Take a bow!
Chloe Chambers, after the run, commented: “It looks easy, but it’s really not – to weave between 50 cones as fast as possible, trying to beat a record time and knowing I couldn’t touch a single one for the run to count – I definitely felt the pressure.
t as possible, trying to beat a record time and knowing I couldn’t touch a single one for the run to count – I definitely felt the pressure.”
But handle the pressure well she did – anyone who’s been on an autocross stage would know how difficult it is to keep the car in balance while weaving through cones, and she even managed it on a completely stock manual Porsche 718 Spyder, down to the tyres.
At the tender age of 16, Chambers already has nine years of karting experience under her belt – finishing top three in over 14 different championships and events, and now she can add a Guinness World Record into her list of achievements. There is a shred of a doubt that she will grow into a formidable racer in the years to come.
“We couldn’t be more proud that Chloe set the record,” said President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, Klaus Zellmer. “From the whole Porsche family we send our heartfelt congratulations – we’re pleased to have been able to support Chloe with her ambitious record attempt and share her relief that it was successful.”
