One of the most popular C-seg SUVs in Malaysia, the Honda CR-V has received a facelift. Apart from styling updates and new features, the CR-V line up now has only 3 variants instead of 4 like before - a 2.0 litre 2WD base variant, and 2 TC-P variants, 2WD and 4WD.

What’s Outside?

The rather elaborate front has made way for a cleaner, sportier look. The prominent chrome bar across the grille is now blacked out, like the recently facelifted Honda Civic. The lower air intake now is now surrounded by a chrome strip.

The same clean look can be said of the rear as well. Its lower bumper is no longer integrated with the twin exhausts.Other exterior changes across the range are smoked rear lights assembly, tweaked automatic LED headlights and darker surrounds.

The 2 turbo variants get trapezoidal exhaust tips (which are now separated from the rear bumper) and hands-free powered tailgate. The 2020 Honda CR-V facelift is available in 5 colours: Lunar Silver Metallic, Passion Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Dark Olive Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl - the last option is a RM357 option.

What’s Inside?

The cabin is largely carried over from the outgoing model. A few features were added to make this popular SUV even more livable. There are 2 more USB ports below the gear lever, remote engine start (only on turbo models) and folding wing mirrors.

Other standard equipment across the board include a 7-inch infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, multi-angle rear-view camera, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents, leather upholstery, and power adjustable front seats.

The turbo variants get premium wood interior trim with automatic windshield wipers.
