Volvo Car Malaysia Extends Battery Warranty for PHEVs to 8 years or 160,000km

Volvo Car Malaysia has extended the battery warranty for all PHEVs sold by them to eight years or 160,000km, whichever comes first.

This should come as a good news for Volvo owners who bought their vehicles from 3 December 2015 onwards because this covers their purchases as well. Previously it was only for units registered from 1 January 2020.

Volvo Car Malaysia Managing Director, Nalin Jain said, “As we continue our journey into sustainability, we are happy to announce this new, extended warranty coverage for our customers who have purchased any Volvo PHEVs since the launch of our first XC90 PHEV in Malaysia. This is our way of showing gratitude to the early adopters and also for those who are striving to make a more sustainable decision.”

Volvo’s PHEV line-up includes the Volvo S60, XC60, S90, and XC90 in T8 powertrain configuration.

To end this challenging year with a positive note, Volvo Car Malaysia is rewarding it customers with a #MyVolvoJourney contest from 4 December to 31 December 2020. Customers who write a short story after their car service/repair at authorised Volvo outlets stand to win Sanqvist leather tote bags and Thule travel bag sets.

“This year has been very challenging for everyone, which is why we are most grateful to our customers for their steadfast support and our dedicated service teams who are always ready to address our customers’ needs despite the difficult circumstances we faced this year,” added Nalin.

After it’s takeover by Geely, Volvo has been steadily on the rise, producing great looking and safe cars for discerning motorists. While it’s just as good as its German competitors, it’s still slightly lower in terms of residuals in general terms. Do find yourself a great deal here!
