Bentley’s New Bentayga Odyssean Edition, Highly Sustainable And Exclusive
Bentley presents the new Bentayga Odyssean Edition, an embodiment of the ultimate in electrified luxury.
The most sustainable yet, its overall design takes advantage of the benefits provided by a hybrid powertrain as well as the elements inside the cabin.
First off, enclosed in its chassis is a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol engine, 100-kW electric motor and a newly upgraded 18.0-kWh battery.
This setup offers a combined output of 455 Hp, a zero to 100 Km/h surge in just 5.3 seconds, a 254 Km/h top speed, and an electric-only range improved to at least 45 Km (WLTP).
Then, it also has a dedicated button that allows control over three E Modes. EV Drive, Hybrid Mode and Hold Mode.
These will enable the pilot to manually manage battery usage, or conversely this can be managed automatically by the Bentayga.
EV Drive mode is engaged as soon as the car is switched on, and maximises the electric driving experience, ideal for city driving and short journeys.
Hybrid Mode maximises vehicle efficiency and range using data from the intelligent navigation system, suited for adventures and long journeys.
Hold Mode balances engine and electric power to hold high voltage battery charge for later use. This is the default mode when in Sport, providing consistent boost and recuperation.
Second factor, the cabin. Its centre console’s open pore Koa veneer uses 90% less lacquer than high-gloss veneers, radiating the natural surface texture and aesthetic of the wood.
Meticulously, the open-pore veneer is painted with just three ultra-thin layers of lacquer, together totaling only 0.1 mm in thickness.
Its panels and waist rails are finished in a sleek, Piano Linen veneer, while long-term durable natural leather with a three-colour scheme, heightens the whole ambience.
Accents to the interior are in a soft, warm hide called Autumn, with five options to choose from. Beluga, Porpoise, Cricketball, Brunel or Burnt Oak leather with light, modern Linen hide.
Additionally, it features an ombré finished exclusive embroidery, with thread colours blending calmly into one another across the width of each seat.
Elsewhere, a unique Odyssean Edition treadplate is also placed at every threshold of the Bentayga’s doors.
Other than that, it gets the Front Seat Comfort Specification with 22-way adjustability, and a heating and ventilation function.
Plus, the Touring Specification of driver assistance systems with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Traffic Assist and Bentley Safeguard.
Perfecting everything is the exterior. Its 22-inch ten spoke wheels, front and rear bumpers, front and rear light trims, and lower body side chrome are all accentuated with Pale Brodgar paint.
Suggestively, a curated exterior palette of six colours is recommended to harmonise with the Pale Brodgar accents, however the full Bentley palette of over 60 colours can be chosen from.
That said, limited to just 70 examples, the new Bentley Bentayga Odyssean Edition will go on sale in November, ahead of a start of production in quarter one of 2023.
