- Mercedes-Benz GLA Named The Most Beautiful Car Of 2021
The Festival Automobile International has awarded the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA as the most beautiful car of 2021.
This is an annual event that is held in Paris, France and showcase not only concept cars, new cars but also honour young designers and creativity in advertising. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and logistically challenges this year which celebrates its 36th edition, the Festival is held online, with readers able to cast their votes digitally.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA emerged on top of a pool of contenders such as the Mazda MX-30, the Opel Mokka-e and the Honda e. Previous winners include the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, Alpine 110, Peugeot 508 and Alfa Romeo 4C.
While the fully-electric Honda e city-car didn’t get the top pick overall, it still won the award for The Most Beautiful Interior.
For the Grand Prize of Design, SangYup Lee, the Head of Design at Hyundai Global Design Centre was awarded the trophy for his creativity on the Hyundai Prophecy Concept and Hyundai Genesis.
