An aged Kancil that was recently viral on TikTok, where the yellow car was seen around Kepong in a dangerous manner. The vehicle is spotted with no roof on, using materials like cardboard boxes and plastic as an alternative.

Last Thursday, Kepong Member of Parliament, Lim Lip Eng shared on Facebook that he had reported the case to the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to take appropriate action.

"The presence of this car on the road is very dangerous. The tires were broken and the driver's head came out of the car. If left on the road, something will definitely happen. The traffic in Kepong is always busy, ” he said.

Following this issue, the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Enforcement Staff Officer led by YDH DSP Mohd Fadzli Mohd Yatim inspected the vehicle.

The investigation found that the car did not have road tax, did not have a roof and the front tire on the right side was also burst. Authorities seized the car based on Section 64 of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987 for further investigation. The driver was also fined.

If you remember, the story of this aged Kancil car driver went viral in 2019 because Malaysians who came across him would share photos or videos. At the time, the same driver was using a green Kancil.

Based on coverage once made by mStar, the driver was a man in his 40s who allegedly had a mental illness. According to a mechanic who knew the man's father, the Kancil driver had studied in Singapore and was fluent in English.
