This was to ensure that users will not be affected with the actual global price. "The government will continue to monitor the impact of crude oil price fluctuations and take appropriate measures to safeguard the well-being of the people," said the Ministry of Finance.

Citing a recent survey by global lifestyle magazine Time Out, Pramono noted that Jakarta ranked 17th globally out of 50 cities, based on responses from more than 18,500 people. Within the region, only Singapore came out ahead.

The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) has responded to 27 electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid car fire cases since last year, averaging about 10 incidents annually across the country.

She was replying to Senator Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim, who asked if the ministry intended to supply fire blankets to fire stations in major cities following the recent rise in EV and hybrid-related fire cases.According to Aiman Athirah, the department has already purchased 318 fire blankets worth RM915,000 this year for distribution to selected stations.&nbsp;"30 more units were contributed by the <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2024/07/fire-rescue-dept-evcb-guidelines-there-to-mitigate-ev-fire-risk" target="_blank">Malaysia Zero Emission Vehicle Association (MyZEVA)</a>, with deliveries completed in stages between December 2024 and May this year," she added.

She further stated that JBPM is also studying the use of other specialised equipment such as immersion containers and cooling agents. For now, <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2024/05/myzeva-calls-brands-cpos-to-donate-ev-fire-blankets-to-fire-dept" target="_blank">firefighters continue to rely mainly on water to bring down battery heat and contain the spread of flames.</a>“Other cooling agents like dry powder, clean agent and inert gas are not suitable for open areas because they require the concept of total flooding to work effectively,” she explained.<span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">

<a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/08/plus-eyes-mlff-anpr-toll-trials-using-justgo-digital-app" target="_blank" style="">PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS)</a> has announced temporary night closures along the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) this week to make way for billboard gantry installation.
The works, handled by a third-party contractor, will take place on the stretch between Jalan Duta and Bukit Lanjan (KM28.20–KM28.25) from 11PM to 5AM on 10 and 11 September 2025.Traffic will be partially diverted during the job.<span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">

For northbound motorists heading towards Bukit Lanjan, two lanes will be shut, with traffic directed to the two remaining lanes.
PLUS has advised road users to plan their trips accordingly and drive cautiously when approaching the affected stretch. Motorists are also reminded to follow traffic signages and any instructions given by on-ground personnel.

For live traffic updates, drivers can check the PLUS App, PUTRI Virtual Assistant, or the official @plustrafik account on X. Updates are also displayed on electronic signboards (VMS) along the highway. In emergencies, assistance is available via the PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000.
