Representing the epitome of sheer electric driving pleasure, BMW Malaysia presents the next-generation of BMW i, the first-ever BMW iX3 in Malaysia.

The highly anticipated mid-sized all-electric Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) is offered in two exclusive variants and are available for pre-booking at selected authorised BMW dealerships nationwide.

BMW Group Malaysia’s managing director, Hans de Visser commented, “The arrival of the first-ever BMW iX3 is made especially significant with these distinct variants that provide our loyal customers and fans of electric mobility in Malaysia the ‘Power of Choice’ without compromising on power, performance or safety. Alongside our upcoming fleet of new BMW i vehicles, the first-ever BMW iX3 is set to spur a new generation of Electric Vehicle (EV) owners in Malaysia, as the all-electric SAV presents a wealth of possibilities with its all-rounded qualities in innovation and design language to make the Electric Premium Ownership Experience even more enjoyable.”

Arriving in the Inspiring and Impressive variants, both are equipped with the M Sport package as standard, offering an expressive exterior design language that is even more dynamic.

However, each sports their own significant differences, most notably in terms of the wheel, lighting and driving assistance setups.

For the Inspiring trim, it comes with a 19-inch aerodynamic 842 bicolour wheels with 8 J x 19, 245/50 R 19 tyres.

Whereas the Impressive trim rides on a set of 20-inch aerodynamic 890 M bicolour run-flat wheels with 8 J x 20, 245/45 R 20 tyres for the front and 9.5 J x 20, 275/40 R 20 for the rear.

Next is the lighting equipment, in which the Inspiring trim adopts the adaptive Led headlights and for the Impressive trim, the BMW Laserlight setup.

As for the safety system, the Inspiring trim aside from its other advanced suite, it only gets a normal Parking Assist with Reversing Assist and Active Park Distance Control (PDC), and a rear-view camera.

Conversely for the Impressive trim, it gets a Parking Assist Plus and Active Park Distance Control (PDC), and a surround view camera.

Touching on the performance, both of the BMW iX3 are powered by an efficient electric motor with an 80-kWh lithium-ion battery that offers an impressive range of up to 461 kilometres (WLTP).

Charging-wise, on one hand, both support DC fast charging at rates of up to 150 kW for 80 percent charge in 32 minutes.

On the other hand, with AC charging, it has a rate of up to 11 kW and is supported via a Type 2 connection for 100 percent in approximately seven and a half hours.

Pricing-wise, the first-ever BMW iX3 in Peninsular Malaysia is at RM 335,800 for the Inspiring variant, and RM 354,800 for the Impressive variant.

Every purchase comes with the BMW Service & Repair that include a 5-year extended warranty, 6-year service package and the Power Package which has the BMW i Wallbox and charging cable.

Not just that, owners of the first-ever BMW iX3 will also receive an 8-Year, 160,000 km battery warranty.
