- 2022 Mercedes-Benz New Vision EQXX
German luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz will unveil its all-electric VISION EQXX On Monday, January 3, 2022, at 6.00 pm (CET) - (Tuesday, January 4, 2022 1.00 am local time).
The brand will unveil the new EV prototype as a digital world premiere via its ‘Mercedes me’ online platform and will further reveal the actual car at the CES 2022 in Las Vegas.
Mercedes-Benz’s new Vision EQXX is a software-defined research prototype that’s taunted as the most efficient vehicle the carmaker ever built. It is targeting a real-world range of over 1,000 km, after previously stating that the EQXX will have the “longest electric range and highest efficiency” of any EV to date.
Apart from equipping the car with a cutting-edge electric drivetrain, lightweight engineering and sustainable materials, there’s also a barrage of intelligent efficiency measures, including advanced software that marks new frontiers of efficiency.
The new Vision EQXX is expected to beat the rest of the Mercedes EQ range on many levels with designers pushing for a lower drag coefficient than even the EQS, which has a value of 0.2 Cd. For the record, the EQS previously has the lowest drag among production vehicles in the world.
It is expected to benefit from new body casting techniques and sophisticated materials that reduce weight, all in order to achieve an average energy consumption of six miles (10 km) per kWh.
This is definitely major news for 2022. Be sure to mark your calendar!
