Automotive Industry Come to the Rescue

With many damaged vehicles due to floods hitting certain areas, these companies offer special programmes to help alleviate their burden. 

Previously, other automotives companies such as Perodua, also announced similar flood relief programme to provide assistance towards the flood victims. 


Honda Malaysia announced its Flood Relief Programme to help customers who have been affected due to floods recently. The company is offering a 25 percent discount on genuine parts and providing repair services until January 31, 2022.

Those customers who subscribed to Honda Insurance Plus (HiP) may receive a free inspection and receive an allowance of up to RM1,500, along with providing towing service for damaged cars caused after the flood.

Honda Malaysia is also working closely with insurance companies to expedite the claim process for affected customers.  For more information, customers may call Honda Malaysia’s Toll-Free number at 1-800-88-2020.

Followingly, MITSUBISHI MOTORS MALAYSIA (MMM) provides a 30 percent discount on Mitsubishi genuine spare parts and a 50 percent discount on labour costs from today until January 20, 2022.


In addition, the company also offers free towing service, and Mitsubishi owners who tow their vehicles without the assistance of MA24 or insurance coverage are also entitled to rebates of up to RM300.

Customers only need to file a police report and then tow the vehicle to the nearest Mitsubishi Motors service centre or contact Mitsubishi Assist 24Hrs customer careline (MA24) at 1-800-88-2166 to request this service.

At the same time, the company also provided a flood relief programme for Mitsubishi owners in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Pahang, who were affected by the recent floods.


Then, a joint effort between Edaran Tan Chong Motor and Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis Sdn. Bhd has mentioned a Nissan Flood Relief Assistance program to the customers affected. The program offers a 20 percent discount on parts and labour charges.

The upholstery restoration price is RM1,655 nett for sedan vehicles and RM 1,988 nett for MPVs, SUVs, Pick-ups, and vans.

Followingly, Nissan owners could have up to 12 months on the total bill and 6 months or 10,000 km mileage warranty on Nissan Genuine Parts replacement.

The company are also available for extended services such as free towing with T&C apply, Door to Door Towing for vehicles and Collect and Deliver service for usual maintenance.

Nissan owners can contact Nissan Customer Care Centre Hotline at 1800-88-3838 for further assistance or call the nearest TCEAS outlet for an appointment.
