Rejoicing In The 50th Anniversary Of Countach, 10 Selected Countach Showcased
The Lamborghini Day Japan 2021 recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of the brand’s iconic classic model, the Countach.
It was held at Triangular Square, Shinjuku Sumitomo Building in Tokyo, where ten Countach selected from the Lamborghini Countach Contest Japan were exhibited.
There were also over 70 Lamborghinis paraded through Tokyo, which among the featured was of course, 20 Countach cars.
Elaborating further, the Countach contest that was held online featured an entry of 26 Countach models, including Polo Storico-certified cars, from all over Japan.
Said ten shortlisted Countachs selected by online voting were exhibited, with a final vote by over 500 participants during six sessions at Lamborghini Day Japan.
Significantly, the car garnering the highest number of votes in each session won the ‘Best of Countach’. Also, a 1978 Countach LP400 S was deemed a winner of the special jury prize.
Last but not least, the Essenza SCV12 fitted with the V12 naturally aspirated mill, boasting the most powerful output in Lambo history of over 830 hp, was also unveiled for the first time in Japan.
