Ship Found Covered In Flames Affecting Thousands Of Luxurious Car Brands
A history repeating its own when Felicity Ace that carries thousands of vehicles ended up burning somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean while sailing from Germany to US.
This event occurred twice for Volkswagen as back in 2019, the company experienced almost 2,000 cars sinking along with a cargo ship, Grande America that moment.
While this tragedy occurred near the Azores Islands, a total unit of 3,965 Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Audi vehicles were affected with the incineration.
Then, fire has inflicted Volkswagen models consisting of GTI, Golf R and ID.4 which are also onboard in the 650-ft cargo ship.
As reported 189 Bentleys and up to 1000 Porsche vehicles were involved and all of them were towed when the ship was ablaze.
A Portuguese Navy has confirmed 22 crew members were rescued and no one was hurt. They were later sent to a local hotel.
None of the motives or causes has been confirmed by the Navy yet. However, a lithium-ion battery in the electric cars has caught on fire.
Felicity Ace was seen still “smoking” for two days after the actual day it happened.
