- Audi Coming Off in Vibrant Matte Shades
Many automotive companies have started taking an interest in vehicle wraps and produced matte paint along the way. Spotted several Audi models has continue this revolution of attractive matte body colours.
Audi has grown its business by offering a list of matte paint colours such as Daytona Grey, Florett Silver, and exclusive Python Yellow for the TT RS and Dew Silber for the RS Q3.
The demand for dramatic car paint finishes is on the rise – individuality, sportiness, and value are being covered more and more. A matte finish highlights the silhouette of a vehicle, brings its sublime design and sporty elegance to the forefront and gives the vehicle an extra special note.
“Design remains the top reason for purchasing an Audi. And the colour of the vehicle is extremely important, as it’s an expression of a driver’s personality,” stated by responsible for exterior colours within the Product Marketing Special Equipment team at Audi, Susan Nolte.
“Top-notch quality needs time, which is why, figuratively speaking, we thought about tomorrow yesterday,” she added.
The process consists of five thin layers that together are no thicker than one-tenth of a millimetre. Aligned with innovative equipment, the process is done by robots where employees just need to position the paint areas from its supply rooms.
The company must consider the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the colour paint. In three to five years, the whole process of design, selection, technical work, and approval of colours as part of its procedure to complete.
