In continuing its effort to support public hospitals, Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (PERODUA) has donated medical equipment and gifts to public hospitals.

Recently, the car marque handed several medical equipment such as a high-tech jellypad, 7 stethoscope neonates, 10 surgical scissors, and free-standing warmer during a handover ceremony at Shah Alam General Hospital.

Apart from that, a gift worth RM 87, 967 was also given to the hospital. The initiative is meant to increase health service quality by the nation's healthcare front liners.

Perodua also extended its contribution to public hospitals including Sungai Buloh Hospital, Selayang Hospital, and Sabah Women and Children Hospital in Likas.

Its president and chief executive officer Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad stated Perodua recognises the importance of private-public partnership in enhancing the quality of health service in the country.

“We will continue to communicate with key public institutions and the Ministry of Health to see where we can add value in the country’s healthcare system,” he stated.
