Unsurprisingly, 2025 proved t be another landmark year in terms of production and sales for second national automaker Perodua.

Rawang-based local automaker Perodua revealed its 2025 sales and production numbers earlier today via an official press release. Unsurprisingly, P2 continues to dominate the local auto sales landscape based on the figures touted.
Firstly, the firm noted a total production of 370,370 units throughout 2025. From which, P2 recoded new registrations totalling at 359,904 units. The latter sees the automaker break its previous record set in 2024 where it shifted 358,100 units, marking a 0.5% growth.
In 2025, P2 produced 370,370 units and shifted 359,904 units. The feat smashed its own internal targets and set new industry records. A large portion of it was also fuelled by its best-seller the Bezza - 104,488 units.

Effectively, Perodua has surpassed its 359,000-unit target set for 2025. It also sees the automaker smash the sales record for any single carmaker in Malaysia once again. Moreover, P2 also estimates that it continues to hold a significant market share – approximately 43.9% .
Perodua were also keen to disclose sales performance by model and, naturally, its most affordable offering – the Bezza sedan – continues to be its best seller with 104,488 units shifted. This marks the second year that this nameplate saw its sales surpass 100,000 units.
Trailing behind which in second comes the Axia supermini with 84,291 units shifted, whereas the evergreen Myvi B-segment hatch ranks third with 72,724 units shifted.

P2 also notes both the Axia (top two) and evergreen Myvi (above) continued standing as its second and third best sellers in 2025 respectively with 84,291 units and 72,724 units shifted apiece.

“These three models remained as the top three models in terms of registration in the country, and we are thankful to all Malaysians for continuing to support us as we thrive to offer better value through our offerings,” expressed CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.
“The entire Malaysian automotive ecosystem benefitted greatly with RM11 billion parts purchase from local vendors and at the same time empowering the country’s entrepreneurs such as Perodua’s authorised dealers and stockists,” he continued.
Perodua President and CEO Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad with the Perodua QV-E EV hatch that launched in early Dec 2025.

The exec, who also doubles up as the automaker’s president, adds that the sales impact of the recently launched QV-E and Traz models will only be visible in 2026. Given both were just launched back in early- and mid-Dec 2025 respectively, this was expected.
Lastly, Datuk Seri Zainal also opined that the country’s total industry volume (TIV) for 2025 would reach a total of 820,000, thus exceeding the initial estimates of 816,747 units.
