Bidding Farewell To An Eleven-Year Run, Lexus’ CT 200h Ends Production This October
Bowing out gracefully, the Lexus CT 200h is finally going out of production in Japan this October, marking the end of the hybrid hatchback’s eleven-year production run.
To mark the retirement, Lexus is rejoicing the occasion with a final special edition model dubbed the Cherished Touring.
First off, the special edition model comes in two exclusive colours, Graphite Black and Sonic Quartz, both with a Sonic Titanium roof.
Regardless of the shade, the spindle grille, fog light surrounds, and rear bumper trim gets a shiny, silver finish.
Other extra exterior amenities include electrically retracting, heated door mirrors and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
Then, the interior features a two-tone Crimson and Black Crimson colour combination upholstery, making the lower portion of the seats and door panels black and the upper parts dark red.
There's matching red stitching on the door trim, instrument panel, knee pads, and steering wheel. Also, the model comes standard with heating for the steering wheel and seats.
Performance-wise, combustion power comes from a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder that makes 98 hp (73 kW) and 142 Nm of torque. Whereas, the electric motor makes 80.5 hp (60 kW) and 207 Nm.
The Lexus CT 200h Cherished Touring special edition rides with a price tag of JPY 4,223,000 (RM 145,379) after taxes in Japan.
That said, the CT 200h ended sales in North America four years ago, with sales ending in all other markets outside Japan last year. A total of 380,000 units have been sold in 65 countries since 2011.
