- The World Premiere Of The 2023 BMW i7 — The Most Advanced BMW Ever!
The new BMW 7 series and BMW i7 are finally here!
On the outside, both cars looks pretty conventional at a first glimpse, but the cars still appear very luxurious and elegant with the cool features such as;
- split headlights
- monolithic surface design
- BMW kidney grille with illuminated surround
- crystal headlights iconic glow
Down the sides of the cars, you will spot;
- flush door handles,
- aerodynamic wheels
- honest-to-goodness Hofmeister Kinks flank the BMW i7
- Rolls-Royce-like automatic doors (open and close at the push of a buttons)
- big aerodynamic wheels (19″ wheel as-standard, with 20″ and 21″ wheel options)
- M Performance wheels
We honestly think this new exterior design is actually better looking and less offensive, despite being bigger and brasher than the previous-gen 7 Series.
Now, let’s get to the most interesting part of the i7; the interior!
In the previous article, we mentioned the 31″ 8k widescreen display that folds down from the headliner of the car for a literal theater-like effect. Apparently, It has an Amazon Fire TV built in, allowing you to watch any streaming content you can think of via the car's own 5G data connection.
Because the car is Fire TV-based, your home Amazon Fire TV app data transfers to the car, so if you're watching a movie at home, pause it at any point, and get in the car, the movie will resume playing from the same point in the back of your i7.
Aside from the widescreen display, here are other amazing features on the inside of the 7 series;
- all-new dashboard layout that includes lighted crystal-like trim (it has ability to change colours)
- hexagonal and flat-bottom two-spoke steering wheel
- toggle switch gear selector alongwith array of buttons and rotary wheel
- two cupholders (individually covered, with each is both heated and cooled)
- Executive lounge with improved reclining position and gap-free leg rest
- 5.5 inch touch-controlled displays in the rear doors
- sky lounge panoramic glass sunroof with LED light threads
- 4D audio technology
Next, let’s talk speed!
The car is powered by dual electric motors that produce 536 horsepower and 549 pound-feet of torque. According to BMW, the i7 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 149 mph.
Those two electric motors, which provide torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, are powered by a 101.7 kWh (usable) battery pack with a range of up to 300 miles. This is a BMW-estimated range based on EPA testing procedures.
It can be charged at 11 kW AC or up to 195 kW DC using a fast charger. BMW has also partnered with Electrify America to provide all i7 customers with three years of unlimited 30-minute fast charging sessions, which is enough to recharge the battery almost completely.
