The Melaka Road Transport Department (JPJ) issued 39 summonses during a statewide enforcement operation on staged bus services. Dubbed “Op Pinky,” the operation <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/06/expert-bus-rollover-tests-must-be-mandatory" target="_blank" style="">targeted driver behaviour, documentation, and bus roadworthiness</a>, according to its director Siti Zarina Mohd Yusop.
Of the 34 buses inspected, 14 were found to have committed 25 offences. The most common violations were using mobile phones while driving and poor vehicle maintenance.Other offences included failure to submit fare schedules, operator and route licenses, making illegal U-turns, and having expired fire extinguishers and Public Service Vehicle (PSV) licenses.

From now on, the Korean brand will be represented by a new local arm, known as <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/05/hyundai-undergoes-brand-and-operational-restructuring-in-malaysia" target="_blank">Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY)</a>.“Hyundai Motor Company officially establishes Hyundai Motor Malaysia—marking a bold step forward with a direct presence in the Malaysian market,” its official statement reads.This move replaces previous local brand custodian Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM), with the brand operation now in Malaysia being led by the principal, just like any other key OEMs here like BMW Group Malaysia, Honda Malaysia, and many more. More importantly, Hyundai plans to produce up to seven new models at this new facility in five years’ time, focusing on both ICE and hybrid powertrains, with vehicle types varying from SUVs to MPVs and even high-spec cars.As production capacity grows at this new facility, the automaker targets that 30% of its production units will be exported to neighboring markets, thus establishing Malaysia as a key ASEAN regional hub for combustion-powered Hyundai vehicles.<img src="https://static-content-live.caricarz.com/media_library/post/18051/15517806/conversions/507084921_122117599436877056_6437358176125074242_n-full_normal.jpg" style="width: 100%;" data-media-id="15517806" alt="507084921_122117599436877056_6437358176125074242_n.jpg"> In terms of local network, HMY also plans to expand its service network to 25 outlets by the end of this decade.
