- Keep it up with Audi, 5 Cylinder Engine
Audi has engaged in the era of automotive for decades and signifies as extravagance, sophisticated car brand and almost own 50 models of top premium built-in vehicles.
The car marque carves its own history along with engine specifications to incorporate advanced technological advancements adjusting efficiency and car performance.
According to the history of Audi, Audi implemented TFSI turbocharging and gasoline direct injection with a transversely mounted engine in the TT RS which today is known as Audi Sport.
After a while, Audi proceed to develop the 2.5-liter engine as the first gas engine in the world to use a compacted-graphite iron cylinder block in the 2012 Audi TT RS.
After years of hiatus, the legendary engine is return with 2022 Audi RS 3 adding newly optimized powertrain including the highest horsepower performance ever constructed in any Audi five-cylinder model.
The new series production is modified from different techniques compared to its previous model and awarded as “Engine of the Year” for nine times in a row since 2010 with its 2.5 litre TFSI five-cylinder engine.
At present, the power range has expanded power range from 394 horsepower to 401 horsepower adding an extra 7. On top of that, to add more steep performance an extra 15 from 354 lb-ft to 369 lb-ft at 3,500 rpms.
This includes speed performance to improve acceleration from 3.9 seconds to 3.6 seconds within 0 to 60 mph, as Audi reported. Yet, the highlight to drive Audi RS five-cylinder model is when the top track speed upgrades to 180 mph naming highest number ever for RS.
As the Audi five-cylinder revolutionizes road driving and stay heads on, the new production will be 30 percent electrified, including fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles by 2025.
