Meet The New 2022 Honda HR-V, Price Starting from RM114,800!

Honda Malaysia (HMSB) revealed the new 2022 HR-V during its launching today introducing four variants to Malaysia market starting from RM114,800 to RM140,800. 

Malaysia will be the leading country to have these compact crossovers in all three different powertrain options across four variants.

All 2022 Honda HR-V presents five hues in total - Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.

The 2022 Honda HR-V consists of 1.5 S, RS e: HEV, and two turbocharged model namely Turbo E and Turbo V.

Honda HR-V 1.5L S – RM 140,800

- 1.5 litre DOHC i-VTEC engine

- Continuously variable transmission (CVT)

- 119HP (121PS) at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. 

- Front-wheel drive

- LED reflector headlamps and LED combination taillights

- 17-inch wheels 

- Eco and Normal drive modes

- Electronic parking brake (EPB) with auto brake hold

- Four airbags and Agile Handling Assist (AHA)

Honda HR-V 1.5L E and V - RM 129,800 (E) and RM 134,800 (V)

- L15C3, VTEC Turbo engine mated to CVT gearbox 

- Continuously variable transmission (CVT)

- 175HP (177 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 240 Nm between 1,700 and 4,500 rpm.

- Twin visible tailpipes

- Remote engine start

- HR-V V variant receives LED turn indicators and rides on 18-inch wheels 

Honda HR-V RS – RM 140,800

- e: HEV hybrid powertrain

- 1.5 litre DOHC i-VTEC engine

- 131HP, an increase of 22HP at 253 Nm

- 1,498 cc naturally aspirated Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder petrol

- 103HP (105 PS) from 6,000 to 6,400 rpm, 127 Nm from 4,500 to 5,000 rpm

- Mated to e-CVT gearbox

- Rides on 18-inch wheels

- Front electric drive motor

- Single-speed transmission with lock-up clutch

- Lane Watch blind-spot camera



On top of that, HR-V Turbo E variant rides on 17-inch wheels and inside there’s a semi-digital instrument cluster, drive-mode selector including Sport mode, paddle shifter, and a rear centre armrest. 

Meanwhile, HRV Turbo V and HR-V RS adds in an Eight-way Power Adjustable Driver’s Seat, Variable Gear Ratio steering, and Honda Connect smartphone connectivity.


The range-topping RS variant receives Automatic Wipers, Hands-Free powered tailgate, and a Dual-Zone Climate Control System and a tyre repair kit replacing spare tyre compartment at the back. 


The Honda Sensing advanced driver assist suite will come as standard across all variants featuring features Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-go support, Lane Keeping and Lane Keep Assist, and Automatic High Beam (AHB). 


Cabin wise, there’s an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 60/40 split-folding Ultra seats, keyless entry with walk away auto lock, four reverse sensors, and a reverse camera.

There you go! The All New 2022 Honda HR-V, offering four models with three different powertrains featuring prices between RM114,800 to RM140,800. Prices are on-the-road without insurance.
