Police Collected More than RM440K Within Three Days After Offering 50% Summon Discount

The Royal Malaysian Police managed to collect a summons payment of RM440,350 in three days after offering a discount of up to 50%.

However, the summons were only reduced for Perak residents in conjunction with the Perak Malaysian Family Aspirations Tour, which was held at the Dato 'Sagor Circuit in Kampung Gajah, Perak.

However, summonses for accident, non-compound (NC), trial status offences, heavy vehicle related offences, and arrest warrant status summons are not eligible for summons reduction.

This discount is only available for three days, from July 1str to July 3rd;

• On the first day, a total of RM85,480 in payment was collected - 747 summonses.

• RM172,340 - 1,440 summons on day two.

• Yesterday saw the highest collection of RM182,530 from 1,647 different traffic summonses.
