A glimpse of what to come ahead of its official reveal, Drako Motors, a San Jose-based EV company has teased its next creation, the Dragon.

Slated for a full debut later this year, the Drako Dragon is a follow-up to the USD 1.3 million (RM 5,733,000) Drako GTE that was unveiled at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

First off, its design is the work of Lowie Vermeersch, who was the design director at Pininfarina, an Italian car design firm and coachbuilder.

Based on the disclosed images, the Drako Dragon appears to have a sporty SUV silhouette with a coupe-esque roofline at the rear.

It is also seen with some interesting design features such as gullwing doors, flying buttresses, a large scoop on the hood and side view camera mirrors.

Although images of the interior were not included, according to the company, it will be wrapped in Europe’s finest and most lavish leather.

Other than that, revealed were some of the specifications and performance figures. For instance, the Dragon will come with the company’s new DriveOS quad-motor powertrain.

Outstandingly, it will feature electric motors at each wheel that will boost the electric SUV with an output of up to 2,000 hp. Battery-wise, it will be developed in-house.

The company claims that it will have a top speed of over 322 km/h (200 mph), and an acceleration time from 0 to 97 km/h in just 1.9 seconds.

As for the pricing, it has not been announced yet, however, Drako Motors stated that it will be positioned competitively to the existing super SUV segment.

In short, the Drako Dragon all-electric super SUV will for sure be a contender, accounting on its looks that is akin to the Urus, and a performance that could out-do the Veyron.
